There is no way in hell I'd trade the Brooklyn pick for Gasol. Not only is Gasol a very high injury risk AND old/declining..he's also not a game changer. At least not anymore.
When he was playing Memphis were battling for a playoff spot in the West. Now he's been out for ages and the Grizzlies are still battling for a playoff spot. He doesn't have the offensive production to carry a team, he's a pretty mediocre rebounder, and he no longer the defensive force he once was.
At this point in time Gasol is really no better than Al Horford - if he is, then gap is insignificant. I'd much rather try to sign Horford straight up rather than give up the Brooklyn pick for Marc Gasol - who probably only has 2 years of productive basketball left in him.
