I know he broke his foot this year , and that is never a good thing for a big man , and he will be turning 32 around the all-star break next year . Any chance Danny would trade the Nets pick for him if it falls out of the top 2 or 3 ?

Gasol would be a perfect fit in Stevens' offense, and is a former defensive player of the year . Also have to imagine that he could attract Durant .

But is it worth it for 3-5 years of Gasol at center, can he age gracefully and anchor a defense into his late 30's like Duncan is doing in San Antonio? They have similar bodies and foot speed.

What do you think ?

Almost a 0% chance and he's deteriorated a lot since his Defensive Player of the Year award.

His age is definitely a huge knock. I think that Danny might want someone younger than Gasol for the Brooklyn pick.

I prefer Horford, who is a similar player and one we can sign outright with cap space without giving anything up.

The broken foot at age 31 is just too scary for me.  No way.  Let Marc have a healthy year and then we should consider trading for him.

100% chance.

I would also bet that Danny would trade all of our Brooklyn picks plus more for Gasol.

I watch Marc 2 games a year so I'm not going to pretend to know his value. Ok I will. No.

Yeah this is exactly why I wouldn't do it.  Maybe if it fell to the 7th pick

I believe Ainge has said recently he doesn't really want to trade assets for a 30+ year old star.   However if it helps lure Horford and Durant lets do it.

I'm a big Marc Gasol fan .

I just have no clue what it would take to get him.

100% chance.

Danny is already on record saying that the 2016 Brooklyn pick will not be traded for a player in his 30's, so with regards to Pau Gasol there is more like a zero chance of this happening.

GM speak.  It means nothing.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Yeah I would be willing to bet he wouldn't...

Gasol is an amazing two way center, but hes coming off an injury so his value is already lowered.

I don't think it will put us over the top. If we add another player I might be interested.
