This is a weird development. Before this year he was considering coming out with this class, then he got killed in the pre-season camps and he reclassified to next year's freshman class.

I think if he is allowed to work out and kills it in work outs then he'll stay in, if not he'll go to college. He's going to be extremely raw, I'm not sure I'd want to see him drafted by the Celtics unless it was with our draft pick in the early 20's.

This. I'm not a fan of Bender at all, yet everyone has him top 5. Heck, Maker could be a better prospect than Bender. He actually plays with fire. Bender screams bust to me. Maker though could actually become something I think.

He's still regarded as one of the top prospects from a college recruiting standpoint (Top 5-10 overall, depending on your source, and the #2 PF).  He will not go undrafted unless he completely fails the draft process (assuming he's draft-eligible.)

Whether or not he's a top 5-10 guy any more (likely not barring an incredible combine and team workout), every addition to the draft increases its depth.  Even if he does not become a Celtic, with 8 picks, it's very possible he pushes down another player in the draft who does become a Celtic.

Draft him if available (not with the Nets pick, maybe the Mavs pick or wait to use a later pick), even if he busts at least you tried for a guy that was a potential superstar, not a stiff who's upside is "contributor of the bench".

Giannis? Sounds like Maker lacks explosiveness. I don't think Giannis does. And he lacks a feel for the game. Giannis can play PG because he has a great feel for the game.

7.0 ft with nice shot, good shot blocker, nice rebounder... he does not have to be giannis, giannis is something totally special.... a nice pf with high upside? if you get him with dallas pick i will be excited
