Felger could be right.

LA is a much more attractive landing place for free agents. Especially now that the black hole is leaving, players will start considering the Lakers again.

The Lakers are always one offseason away from being back in the fold.

Is it when they have a lesser coach, a front office that is no longer as respected and finally, the top young player being hated by the entire locker and probably not the majority of the league?

Wow - that kind of thing not only alienates his teammates but it'll follow him around no matter who he plays with.  From an "unwritten code" perspective it's probably worse than sleeping with a teammate's girlfriend/wife.

At least with that, you can keep it 'in house' (figuratively, except sometimes literally).

Buy Young and his wifey a vacation trip to make it up to them. It's not just Young that is hurt by this but also her. He is a kid and you kind of have to look past this stuff as a young man playing a costly prank. Sit with the whole team and remind them of teammate respect and privacy. And by no means do you let Russell go without some team punishment. I would seriously cut PT maybe even dnps ever other game to finish the year.

What a misogynistic outlook you have.  Nick Young cheats on his fiance with some random 19 year old he met at the club, and D'Angelo owes the apology to Iggy? That's some trash morality you're espousing. I agree that he shouldn't have filmed and posted the conversation, and I know that basically every athlete cheats on their significant other, but suggesting that it's Russell that caused harm to Iggy and not Nick Young, is really insulting.

Besides I think she's pretty cool with D'Angelo:

WTH do you mean trash. Get your act together. Any time you put something out there for everyone instead of coming foward to a person it's insulting or hurtful and always embarrassing. Also I never said it wasn't Nick's fault to begin with. Of course it all starts with Young. But you don't air people's dirt to the world. If you care then you talk to the person getting mistreated.

Russell made a dumb mistake. Young is the one cheating on his future wife. I get the bro code thing from a team loyalty standpoint, i.e., I can see why the Lakers themselves are shunning Russell. But I don't understand why complete outsiders are giving Russell a harder time than Young. Some people are acting like Russell hurt Iggy. Uh, nah. Young hurt Iggy.

p.s. Regarding the "Felger might be right" post, see my signature. The dude thinks everything Felger says about basketball is right. He's a Felger fan more than a Celtics fan.

Young definitely comes across as a scumbag in this story too but I'm guessing most people are numb to the infidelities of athletes at this point.

Wish he was around the Lakers earlier in 2003 or so.  He would've saved a lot of people time and money on that Kobe Colorado case.

For some it is not being numb more so it is we know he is scum and the thread is on Russell's actions.

I wonder what percentage of NBA players cheat.  For non-married players in "committed" relationships, my guess is at least 80% have cheated at least once.

For my part, I already had a low opinion of Nick Young.  The video didn't change that much.

I had no opinion of DeAngelo Russell.  The video changed that a lot.

In a regular life situation, who is worse: the guy that cheats on his fiance, or the person that rats on him.

That the Lakers unanimously sided with the cheater says something about what type of people NBA players are.
DKC:  Rockets

The guy who secretly records people and airs their dirty laundry publicly is worse.

In general, they person who purposely tries to start problems for people is worse than the person with vices, but who never intended to hurt anyone.
