Buy Young and his wifey a vacation trip to make it up to them. It's not just Young that is hurt by this but also her. He is a kid and you kind of have to look past this stuff as a young man playing a costly prank. Sit with the whole team and remind them of teammate respect and privacy. And by no means do you let Russell go without some team punishment. I would seriously cut PT maybe even dnps ever other game to finish the year.

I think people are missing the point a bit.

Russell has breached not only the trust of his team mates and 'ratted' on Nick Young,
he's destroyed Iggy and Nick's privacy and publicly humiliated both of them.

This is a real dirt ball move. Iggy didn't have to find out like that and that's just horrible for her and for Nick who thought he was being 'cool' with his team mate.

Not to mention that such measures might work on high schoolers or grade school kids to discipline them but measures like suicides are not going to teach a 20 year old man how to be an adult or help build trust in the locker room. This was not only a severely immature move it was also the move of a total dousche. No amount of punishing exercise is going to teach a 20 year old how to be a more mature, responsible, trustworthy and good human being.

Sure the league caters to talent.  No doubt.   The organization will do what they need to do in regards to investment in Russell if they believe in him.

The problem, as you illustrated, is his teammates.  His current teammates sure as heck won't trust the kid.  You can bring in new guys down the road but he's still going to have the stigma of this.  That won't change.   It just depends on how much future teammates will be accepting of the guy or not and whether its impacted on the floor.

That's some trash morality you're espousing. I agree that he shouldn't have filmed and posted the conversation, and I know that basically every athlete cheats on their significant other, but suggesting that it's Russell that caused harm to Iggy and not Nick Young, is really insulting.
