He was very comfortable shooting that beautiful jump shot today. Great form, high release, and he jumps high on his jumper. Very hard to block ala KG.

He's still very soft In all other areas, but has the tools to get better.
TP. Maybe Sully would be a nice combo with him. Sully could pick up the tougher of the two front court players.

Just saw that Lab is posting good numbers today and turned the game on.

Has anyone seen the beginning? Has Lab played as well as his numbers show in the stat sheet?

Been watching the whole game and Skal looks great. He's money from 15-18 feet. He's nailed three jumpers, a righty jump-hook, been active on the boards, and all three of his blocks were impressive. The talent is clearly there.
Thx for the run down. TP

Looks like Kentucky is starting to integrate him more in the offense.

On defense, he doesn't always get into the best positioning but his quickness and length is impressive.

You're welcome. Skal looks a bit more muscularly defined since the beginning of the year. I think that's a good sign. One thing I'd like to see from him are better rebounding numbers. I'd also like to see him not make himself so small in the post.

Kentucky vs. LSU has been pretty interesting. Simmons is passing and rebounding well, but not much else. Skal has been a force on both ends. His jumper is so silky, and he's blocked FIVE shots. If he keeps this up the Draft is going to be much more interesting.

Noticed he looks stronger also.

He also needs to become more assertive.

Go get the rebound. Make a move with the ball. Show for the ball more.

I think Skal has to go at least number 6 after showing this kind of potential.

Simmons has been really blah.

If he keeps this up, it would be hard to imagine him falling out of the top 3. He is thoroughly outplaying Simmons.

Wow exciting day.

Lab keeps impressing as the game goes on.

Draft is back to 6 deep.

I don't want to overreact, but think about how perfectly he'd fit on our team. The possibility is exciting to say the least.

I agree. Best thing to happen in a while for the draft considering the Nets are climbing.

So Skal finished with 18 points on 8/10 shooting, 9 boards, 6 blocks, 2 assists. Spectacular game.

He's a good spot up shooter, but hasn't shown much else at the offensive end.  He's long and athletic for sure.  Simmons OTOH, even not having his best game, is clearly more of a force with the ball in his hands, and is an excellent rebounder.  Nothing in this game make me think Skal is the better player.

He was better in one game. That's all I'm saying. Smart was better than Westbrook in one game this year too, but I have not deluded myself into believing Smart is even in the same stratosphere as Russ. Skal was impressive today. His draft stock is improving with every game. Simmons is still better and will be picked before Skal.

I can't imagine him declaring, the way things are going.
If he returns to Kentucky and does badly again, he may not even be a first round pick next year.

Better to come out now. Take the money.
You're exactly right, and I hope we get him with our Dallas pick.
