Guys its one game. He has been awful all year and apart from the form on his shot, has looked awful all year. How about you see if he can actually have games like this on a consistent basis before throwing him back into the top 10 drafted players.

Agree with you on this.  He's got the SEC tournament and NCAA's left to make an impression.

Imagine if the Nets pick ends up #1 and Skal falls to the DAL pick... leaving the draft with Simmons and Labissiere would be robbery. Fills a need at center and gives us a go-to scorer at the 3/4, while giving us a tantalizing young core... if both of those 2 live up to their potential... wow. Imagine this five years from now:

IT/Rozier
Smart/Bradley
Crowder/Turner
Simmons/Sully
Skal/KO

Wow. Add to that the possibility of signing Durant or Horford, and that's a contender.

Skal Labissiere is going to be really good. Top 5 prospect imo. I've liked him since day 1.

Looking like the player he was touted to be, he was great at contorting his body to block shots from odd angles. I figured we might get a glimpse of this next season. Lets hope this game was a sign of more to come.

Bet Calipari has been making it a point to fix this kid. A few weeks back Calipari said that he ruined him by thrusting him into a role that he wasn't ready for. Benching Skal, letting him take a step back to breathe, and allow the rest of the team to settle into their roles so they aren't trying to build around Scal looks like it might have been just what the doctor ordered.

I'm not sold on Skal. He played well vs LSU but he's still half a step slower than the better opponents he faces- which will be a huge problem for him in the NBA.
He's a bit soft and his hands need a lot of work.

I just don't know about Skal and I don't think he's going in the top 10- he's a huge long term project and he's missing the athleticism and agility to go with that length/size and smoothness.

He needs a lot of work on his body, he is just very weak, I think that will help some of the areas you mentioned, Chambers.

But this is what one or two good games, and a season of stinkers?   I would take him later on but not with our first pick, I am hoping Ainge trades up with some of the ammo he has back into the early teens, then this makes sense.

I'm not seeing a lack of athleticism and agility.  Strength and confidence seem to be his main drawbacks.  Earlier in the year he just seemed lost on the court as well.  Great game against LSU, let's see if he can string together a nice tournament run.  Would be nice to have a third premier prospect in the draft.

I don't know if I'd go that dark on this draft class but I do agree that it would be surprising if there's a lot of decent players that come out of it when people look back on it in 5-6 years.   maybe a couple of guys in discussions for all-star considerations,  a handful of starters and a handful of good role players.
