Tonight's game illustrates why Sullinger can't be part of your long term plans.

He was our best big man tonight...10 points 8 rebounds on 60% shooting. Poor free throws with 2/6 but you're targeting him too much in this thread and it's really not fair.
Sullinger is the least of our problems.

Yeah, he was the only big worth anything tonight. Johnson only played 15 minutes for some unknown reason, so he couldn't even get going. Lee was 3-11. Why he thinks he's deserving of the third most shots on the team is beyond me.

So I think it's safe to say we're finally seeing the results of our porous defense without Smart.

We are missing smart badly... but even without him we should have won some of these games.. some were hoping lopez to get injured to get a better draft spot.. i say we are a mediocore team which is affected by ONEinjury and is losing the playoffs

I'm going to say it game after game, AB has been our best shooter and it's not close, how is he going entire quarters not touching the ball? Don't give me this BS that AB had a bad game, he shut Korver down, he would have had practically nothing if not for balls being tipped and falling into his lap. Offense was tragic for sure (first half b/c he didn't touch it 2nd half).

Who in the hell told CBS to let Jerebko shoot this season, it's tragic!

Great, get 29pts but give up a billion with how our team has to cover for you. I'm tired of the pass he gets but are ready to jump down all other player's throat!

WHY IN THE HELL COULDN'T WE KEEP HUNTA OUT THERE????

Why not try Z if no other bigs can score, I mean, he can't defend but he seems to have found his shot?!!

why can't we hit fts?

Why does the offense suck??? I think it's b/c we defend better this season, I told you, people don't get just how hard it is to be good on both ends especially with how good we are defensively. Our guys couldn't defend and/or didn't try hard on defense and they all could shoot at least solidly, now they try and some have gotten much better but their offense stinks now! I think I'd take 10th best defense and better offense than our very good D and sad offense!

I'm mad but over it right..........

now!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I think Stevens goes way too much with the match ups... going small versus two stretch bigs in atlanta, and not playing Amir... Gotta play to YOUR strenghts, team is not that versatile.

I think more like we saw the results of going small against one of the most physical and dynamic PF/C combination in the league. It was nuts from Stevens to do so... and he kept insisting on it. To say nothing of keeping Johnson on the bench through all of it. O.o

Feels like CBS is going to take a little more heat this season. Just the way it goes when you vastly overachieved last year. Just too many players that need minutes on this team right now.

Another reason our offense has been worse is because our defense has been worse. Our offense is best when we're getting stops and pushing the ball; however, when we're not getting stops, we're forced into playing half-court sets, which isn't a strength of our offense. We're definitely missing Smart, but people taking advantage of IT and Lee's horrible, horrible defense also hurts us.

He will get more heat b/c he doesn't tell people, HEY your shot isn't falling outside, stop shooting it (well AB stops shooting when he misses, what a dumb move by AB not on CBS)! How is Jerebko in there shooting to close when he can't shoot at all in non-pressure situations this season? Yeah, that's on CBS.

Oh and not leaving RJ in when he was HOT??? CBS.

The C's need a healthy Smart to be that defensive stopper, IT is nowhere the player on the defensive end that Smart is. Nowhere. The combination of the two was good at keeping opposing back courts off balance.

This team needs a solid defensive minded center, to protect the rim. That's what good centers do, they're your last line of defense. Going small is nice, but the threat of going big has to be an option too.

I was meaning the last several games in addition to this one. Obviously the small-ball was uncalled for, especially since it didn't work AS SOON as Brad put it out there. But even going small without Smart hurts us, too, because you have to sub in Turner for Smart.

Jerebko's terrible play didn't change the fact that we couldn't guard anyone on P&R with or without him. That's very concerning to any basketball team. I mean, VERY concerning. Hawks just had to use the simplest play in basketball (and not even that well) to beat us. That's a little sad.

Well, we can take consolation in the fact that Brooklyn and Minnesota both won, with Minny beating Sacramento. Hopefully enough losses will prompt Sacramento to finally trade us DMC.

Doesn't happen with Smart in there.
