IT is doing it right. Be aggressive when the 3s aren't falling

I kinda want to see how this team performs for a game if Stevens just keeps Turner, Lee, and Zeller on the bench.  Shorten the rotation.

I still think those guys, individually, are not the problem, but I think the rotation is too deep right now, guys can't get a rhythm, and we need to play lineups that feature more skill and athleticism.

Yeah that might be part of the shooting woes right now.  Maybe a longer run would help with the cap on the bucket.

4th qtr of IT, Smart, Crowder (Jerebko just got beat twice in transition), Sully, and Amir. Just let them finish. Everyone else is in the doghouse minus Bradley.

Start planning to work Hunter in for spot minutes in upcoming games.

Start Smart, Bradley, Crowder, Sullinger, Amir.

Bring Thomas, Jerebko, KO off the bench.

That's it.

See how that goes.

Amir the only big with any athleticism for Celtics.

Yet he's still coming off of the bench... I understand Stevens wants to pair IT with Amir, but that's coming at a great cost right now.

The fact that our best player comes off the bench and can't play defense against starters -- yes, that is coming with a great cost right now.

No, that's definitely a problem, too. It just seems no matter which way you go, you're giving up a weakness somewhere. Perhaps the best overall option is playing Amir many more minutes, that way he can start (probably with Kelly or Sully) but still have time with IT.

Smart AB and Amir - I love it
Sully, IT and KO - shots not falling but I actually like the way they are playing
Lee, Zeller, Turner - please go away
Jerebko, Crowder - fine I guess

Shocker: the Celts really lack shooting, rebounding, and inside scoring.

Well Smart is finally becoming aggressive so that's the one positive I'm taking from that half. Everything else was bad... and it's just painful to know when our 5'9 best player can't hit the broad side of a barn we have literally zero offense...

Yep.  Thomas is the only guy on offense who scares the other team.  When IT is struggling to hit shots, the other team is happy to let Crowder, Bradley, Sullinger etc bomb away, and that's how we end up shooting 28% for the half.

I'll be honest though part of why I thought this would be a decent season was that I really thought Lee would still be able to produce consistently... but he looks like a shell of his former self... so yeah this is what we have now...

Give it time.

This team will be good, but its also the start of a new season.  It's going to take time for guys like Lee and Johnson to become naturals in the system.

We we both slightly off from Brad's plan, though I'm glad he made an adjustment. Glad he went with IT -- 5 quick points -- and Amir.

Just wasn't expecting it to include Turner...
