cavs could have  2 of their stars sleep and should be able to beat the nets

I think that what the last two seasons have proved is that Love and Kyrie are very overrated.  Lebron wins games; those two hang stats.  (Well, Love used to hang stats.  Now, he goes through entire months shooting around 30%).

It pains me to criticize Kyrie.  I love his talent.  He's been one of my favorite non-Celtics since he came into the league.  However, he's a disappointment.  He hasn't taken a step toward super-stardom.  He just doesn't seem to care like he should.  He doesn't care enough to pass, and he doesn't care enough to play defense.

I was about to say this exact same thing.  Kyrie is a ridiculous offensive talent, but he just doesn't play good team ball.  Doesn't make his teammates better on a consistent basis.  Prone to jacking up hero shots.

Love on the other hand has always been overrated.  I'm glad that this is getting exposed on Cleveland rather than on the Celtics (not that I ever thought he was truly coming here).

As far as the Cavs loss, these kinds of things happen in the regular season.  Reminds me of the loss our big 3 had late in the 2010 season against the Charlotte Bobcats, who had a measly 7 or so wins at the time.  We lost to them at home in Boston.  Playoffs aside, I can't remember a more frustrating loss than that one.  I imagine that's what Cavs fans are feeling now, even if this Nets team isn't quite as bad as that historically bad Bobcats team.

I think the Cavaliers organization is still a mess. I understand it would annoy Isaiah, but I would trade for Irving if he was available because I think he'd be one of the league's best three point guards under Stevens.

I agree, they don't care. they dont seem to like each other either. cavs seem to believe 1 seed is theirs already and raps dont care. 


no one learned from the spurs last season? a change in seeding could mess you up.

i agree, those things happen, all my initial comment was arguing is why they were using the b2b as an excuse.

well, if anyone is looking for a silver lining, phoenix and brooklyn are still tied and the nets still have the tougher schedule ahead.....i guess.

What sucks also--is that both of our losses to the Nets were most likely because they were Back to backs against the same team---we had two separate instances of this---Doubt we would have lost 2 out of 4 to them, if not for this.

What a bummer, but that's typical Cleveland for you. It does show you that the East is wide open, though. I'd argue that any of the top five or six could take the East - Cleveland, Toronto, Boston, Atlanta, or Miami.

That's just ridiculous about Kyrie and Love, though. I've been a firm believer that James would never leave Cleveland again, because it would put a major hit on his legacy to do that to Cleveland twice. But if they can't significantly upgrade this offseason after another inevitable loss in the Finals or even failing to get out of the East, it really wouldn't surprise me to see James walk elsewhere.

I'm not really a Lebron James fan at all, but he wouldn't have to worry about competitive spirit in Boston.  He could slide in at the 4 nicely alongside a Horford type.

Back to back is an excuse, but if the Celtics had taken care of business against the Nets, we'd be in much better position.  We've got two losses against them.

He's perfectly correct though..
We should have won 3 of 3.

Why should we? do we have more talent? no. we just have better fitting pieces and a great coach. darn near all the guys that play for us have to contribute for us to win, cavs have 3 players who can/should be able to take up when others lack.

We have one of the most talented teams on the defensive end in the NBA.
We are fighting for the 3rd seed and 50 wins while the Nets are fighting for 20 wins and the 2nd worst record in the East.

We should have crushed the Nets 3-0 and that's that.

Just woken up and looked at the scores, lol. I'm not even mad that Brooklyn won. The fact that the Nets beat the Cavs is hilarious to me.
I'm probably in the minority here but I'd love to face the Cavs in the second round. I think we'd give them a real scare and any chance to aggravate Queen James is a good one

I know its late in the season and every loss counts at this point, but, this might be the only Brooklyn win that I'm happy about. This loss to me shows that the Cavs are a vulnerable team, and anytime they lose to a p----pour team (even if its the Nets), it brings a smile to my face.

Yes, I hate Lebron that much.

LOL I can't with you people. Just because teams don't always put it together doesn't mean they are less talented. Some of those players on the nets would probably look better on our team just as our guys have. No one was saying how great a defender Jae was until this season and a bit in the playoffs on LBJ. For most of the season people wanted ET gone, excuse me, Evan Turnover. Every few weeks it's talk about how Sully is overrated. Threads about how Smart is a great defender but shouldn't play because of his horrible offense. Bench Bradley they say. Now you're saying we have a lot of talent? Come on people, these comments aren't genuine!


I guess you're going to tell me we have more talent than the sucky kings too? We don't. Ours just came together better. CBS and the players came together to hide weaknesses and let the strengths shine. The team works their butts off to maximize the good!

also, Joe Johnson was on the nets at the time of our losses. Jack was healthy too. RHJ was healthy and looking good 4 a rookie.

I'm sorry that you guys pretend that wasn't a talented team and as talented as we are but I'm not buying it. They just stunk as a team! Cavs faced a much less talented team and even vs. the team we faced the cavs would have had superior talent!

CBS doesn't always say our guys have to outwork all the other teams for nothing. Some of our guys are better than the nets players and some of theirs are better than ours (specifically when we played them).
