I know its late in the season and every loss counts at this point, but, this might be the only Brooklyn win that I'm happy about. This loss to me shows that the Cavs are a vulnerable team, and anytime they lose to a p----pour team (even if its the Nets), it brings a smile to my face.

Yes, I hate Lebron that much.

Only says they don't care, IMO. I mean, they looked worse at times last season to me but made it to the finals. I hope we/someone ruins them in the playoffs b/c regular seasons don't mean too much when it's LBJ's teams. He's been a tough out either way.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Luckily the nets play the next games against more serious teams

I'm not even mad at LBJ b/c he's playing his game but those two punks Love and Irving are messing up that team and our chances at better pick. I hate Lebron but those two are not about winning. Yeah, Lebron's a queen and all that but if I'm those two I play hard every night and get that ring no matter what Lebron does. They are a spoiled bunch with no authority what so ever. They are favorites to win the east but I hope they get the Bulls or the Pistons in the first round and then us or the Heat in the second. There won't be walk in the park like last playoffs.

I mostly agree. I actually feel sympathetic to Lebron. Diva or not, he wants to win. He was a monster last night, and his "star" teammates just went through the motions.

just unfathomable how the Cavs can lose to the Nets when the Nets only get 30 points combined from Lopez and Young.

disgraceful.  Kyrie -- 6-22; Love 5-14; JR SMith - 3-10.

With a team like that, I can see Lebron bolting in the offseason regardless of the heat he'd take for it.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I think Irving is the problem.
A ball hog most games, amd just can't defend top tier PG's.
He's just too selfish when there are two guys who are arguably both better than him.

I think he's  gone to new york this offseason for Melo.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

well, if anyone is looking for a silver lining, phoenix and brooklyn are still tied and the nets still have the tougher schedule ahead.....i guess.  :P

The way the Nets play, I'm not sure that's a good thing. Seems that they only beat the better teams!

They'd have to ship Love away too then right? Lebron, Melo and Love probably all best playing the same position these days. Which probably means you are right and this is what they will try.

Hopefully, last night was the signature win that allows the Nets to shut down Lopez and Young for the rest of the season.

I agree, but at the same time , this is what happens when you allow players to influence front office decisions though, isn't it? They shouldn't have traded Wiggins for Love and then sign the mediocre Thompson to a max deal, or brought in JR Smith, or replaced their coach with Lue. That team doesn't look like a bunch of players who feel like equal teammates, but a mish mash of player influenced poor roster decisions, where they each have their own self interests at hand.

Okay, I give up on us getting the 3rd worst spot from the Nets following last night... It just seems like it's not meant to be. Ughhhhh

I know, but still... they will win more games like this. And whenever it seems like they will get 3rd worst stuff like last night happens.

I see the Nets winning a few more of these games as well. That teams full of guys fighting for a contract next year. They also have no incentive for shutting down guys like Lopez to tank their pick. As long a Minn wins a few more, the worst the Nets will do is 4th.

That being said, Cleveland as a team is a joke. Great on paper but bad mismatch of guys.  They've had too many of these games where they should just be killing teams and sitting their starters in the 4th. I still think they come out of the East but will get rolled by GS or the Spurs.

Yes. I think Lebron wants to be a GM player, but he is a really bad GM. This seemed to hurt a few of his teams in Miami where they ended up with a few of his friends (Jones and Miller) that were pretty redundant with Ray Allen (and one year Lewis) already on the team.
