On the plus side, although the Nets host Philly and Minnesota, the rest of their next ten or so games look quite losable.

Minnesota, while inexperienced, is considerably better than Brooklyn. I also wouldn't assume that the Nets are going to beat the Sixers.
I really, really hope you are right. Got excited at the beginning of the year, so I'm a little more conservative now. And despite the fact that this Nets team looks horrendous on paper, they somehow seem to be able to pull it off. I know, with RHJ out and Lopez + JJ playing 39 minutes per night, it can't last. But they've definitely done better than I thought they would.
The only other plus I see this year is that the top of the draft is very strong at 3 and 5, at least as things stand now. I think we're still looking at a top-7 pick. Reasonable worst case scenario is that somebody is teaching Tommy how to pronounce "Poeltl."
