Sign him to a contract and send him to the D-League

I'm loving his effort on D, his hustle, and over the last three games he has been rebounding very well too. He is also very athletic, which isn't something we see much of in Boston as of late. Of course it's not always wise to get hyped off Summer League games, but based on what he is showing it kind of surprises me that he wasn't selected in the first round. It seems clear the man has talent and I'm excited to see how his development continues.

It's crazy, but we can say that Rozier, Hunter, and Mickey all can flat out play the game. I don't know where their development eventually lands, but they all have a shot to do damage in this league. Ballers
This could turn out to be one of DA's best drafts ever.

(unlike Sullinger, for instance, who seems to swallow the ball when he gets hold of it).
Unfortunately, that is not all he swallows, seems to like pie too.

That's what I think.

the nba summer league. the place where hopes are raised and razed. the land of over hype and subsequent disappointment. crow is a staple of the menu as i hear things.

death, taxes, and overhype during the summer league. maybe reign it in a bit guys and gals.

summer league...say, believe, repeat.

and remember, harangody averaged 16.6 pts/g and 6.8 rbds/g in the 2010 summer league. micke will be better i believe, but summer league is summer league.

and, from a much, much earlier summer league thread....

The more I watch Kevin Olynyk play, the more I think he's going to be the white Wilt Russell.  Kid's a future stah.

Kevin Olynyk for MVP

Better tell the coaches not to get excited man, It's only summer league!!!!

"He's picked things up really quickly," Celtics Summer League coach Micah Shrewsberry said. "He's almost like a sponge. We watched a lot of film early on in practice, and you weren't sure if he was going to quite grasp it because everything was totally new to him. To watch him now, he's really getting the hang of getting in a stance and stopping the ball. Now he's playing his game defensively — he's coming from the weak side and blocking shots, and he's playing with more instincts instead of thinking. It's been impressive.

It's sure looking that way.  Everybody has loads of talent & 2 have elite athleticism (Rozier and Mickey).

Curious to where they're at 3-4 years down the road.

Guys who move and play hard WITHOUt the ball are really rare .

Anyone this active ....at both ends of the court is just going to be fun to watch .

He could muscle a tad , add 15 pounds , with his energy and jumping ...he could give James a hard time during the course of a game putting pressure full court all the time on him.

Mickey could,be very use full. .....Jonas and Mickey could put a lot wear and tear on LeBron .

I don't know, if Sully's been swallowing basketballs, that could explain a lot.

another good game by Mickey last night

Vonleh and Moultrie were neutralized.  Blazers hesitant to drive in

when he was on the bench, blazers drove in at will. Vonleh was having an easy time vs Sampson

Yeah, I'm not getting carried away with him yet. I think he can play given his college resume and where Danny drafted him, but I have seen too many NBA busts dominate summer league to get too excited.

In other news, I think Mickey's camp is being foolish with these contract negotiations. Apparently Danny wants to give him a rich contract for a second rounder that is two years guaranteed with two years more at team options. Mickey apparently wants a shorter deal to hit the open market earlier.

While the idea in a vacuum makes sense on both sides, Mickey is a fool if he thinks he can even get floor time this year, so there's no way he is going to play himself into a rich contract anytime soon. Even if Sully is dealt, there is no way he gets minutes over Lee, Johnson, Zeller, Olynyk, and Jerbenko.

Indeed, I'm also disappointed with this.
I honestly prefer to give a shot at Holmes than giving a 1 year contract to Mickey.
I hope I'm wrong but if Mickey is that arrogant type, fine, let him go to the fakers.

Edit: I didn't pay real attention to his behavior but I noticed that he didn't touch RJ's hand after his FT. He was facing him and was near. Maybe it's not a concern, maybe it is...

Exactly what I saw as well, its been the case all Summer League, I am intrigued to see what he can do if given 15-20 minutes a night in the NBA this season, he can contribute defensively at the very least.
2019 historical draft.  Pick 12

Tim Duncan, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Scottie Pippen, Willis Reed, Mitch Richmond, Sam Jones, Dan Majerle, Bob Cousy, Rasheed Wallace, Shawn Kemp, Marcus Camby
