No one is saying but I'd rather have Smart then Noel. I think Smart becomes the better player.

You guys are reading way too much into it thinking he's talking about some specific player.  The point is rim protection as a need for the team is overrated.  We need a lot of things, foremost, talent.  If we brought in some 7 foot player who could block shots and that's it the team wouldn't become a contender.  That's the point.

Amen said the choir. Noel can't shoot and is unlikely to get much better. Not a good rebounder either.
