Those comments from Danny about rim protectors hurting our offense seemed directed at a WCS-type player.

I think it's just the real fact that it's an overrated need.  Not that it isn't valuable, but a lot of times you really have to pay for rim protection.  And people constantly harp on it for the Celtics over the last few years when the team just flat out doesn't have enough talent.  That's the need.  Acting like a shot blocker would fix the team is really crazy.

In a lot of ways, I think he's like Westbrook with regard to shot selection and decision-making: you have to take the good with the bad.

Mickey needs to work on rebounding but otherwise this dude can play.  Obviously rebounding is key but some of these moves, his physical ability, his shot blocking, his defense are really impressive.

Agreed.  He is looking to get into the paint and make the defense react to his presence.  He has the shots you need to hit from the paint too like a floater now.  I'm happy with that.
