Anyone that thinks we are going to be better as of right now is totally delusional!!

We are bringing back the same roster just paying them more, adding Amir a bench player and drastically over paying for him will not make us any better what so ever.

I like Jerebko and $5m seems ok for him.
I like Crowder but $7m for him seems like an over pay.
Amir for $12m is insane.

Overpaying bench players is not going to give us more wins. Thinking we are going to duplicate the run that we had at the end of last season is unrealistic, most the teams we played sucked and some of them will get better.

Like to add that the reality of IT will kick in, people will see he's a ball hog that wants to play hero ball. Instead of him being applauded by all-star break people here will want him shipped out ASAP.

IMO Crowder is more valueble than Jerebko. I think the cost is fair.

I think we'll be around the same amount of wins. lesser talent compare to other teams but I trust in Brad Stevens and he'll get them to work hard

Where I come from that's crazy. A team full of bench players winning close to 50 games, I mean if you say they can win 47 than they are basically a 50 win team. If anyone can sit here with a straight face and talk themselves into the idea that this is a 50 win team, CRAZY!!!!!

I think there are more or less two basic camps:

1. People who thought the success the Celts enjoyed in the last 2-3 months of this past season was due to the Celts actually being good.  Greater than the sum of their parts.

2. People who thought that success was due to the Celts simply trying harder / out-hustling other teams, the Celts having a rotation opponents had never played against before, opponents "playing down / through" the Celtics, or what have you.


There are reasons to think either side could be right.  Obviously I'm in group #2.  I would not call somebody in group #1 delusional.  Just optimistic.  Perhaps obstinately so, depending on how much I think they know about the game and the history of the league.  But I can't criticize somebody for being obstinately optimistic, unless he or she is a jerk to those who choose not to be.
