There's a better chance he plays in China next season than for either Boston or Dallas.
;D ;D ;D

Rondo get used to eating fried lice

I think the hardest thing for me is seeing a Celtics Great disrespected like this.

Rajon Rondo was - at times - our best player from 2009-2012.

He deserves better, regardless of his mistakes/shortcomings.

The supposed best PG in the game let his team lose THREE games in a row vs HOU - and he gets a free pass.

Because he can shoot?

Some folks' mentality on here is warped.

supposed best pg in the league is in the nba finals. Youre talking about that paul guy who still is way better than rondo btw

Sure, better than Rondo, BUT:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6b0ftfKFEJg

Let's sing ;D

Which one of THESE things is not like the other:

And:

So, again - "Which one of these things is NOT like the other, LOL?"

I will ALWAYS remember Green Rondo 2009-12 and NOT the stuff we see now. There are always TWO sides to the story.

Respect the past?  Personally I have said that Rondo was one of the best passers I have ever seen and he was an important piece of Banner 17.  Unfortunately, for whatever reason (injury, age, etc), he is not the same player on the court.  However, based on what happened in Dallas, he is still a stubborn hammerhead.  Even if he had the same skills he had in 2008, I still think he would be a bad fit for this team.
In any event, saying he's toast is just an opinion.  I'm not going to say he's great and would love to bring him back if I don't feel that way.

I said what it's totally fine if you or anyone else here don't want him back anymore for whatever reason. BUT saying what he's a garbage/team cancer and something like what is rude and disrespectful when it comes about a player who used to play solid years in this organization and especially, when you guys rooting and loved him in the past while he was playing hard (or even if you didn't liked him). He didn't anything wrong here, what happened in Dallas stays in Dallas.

I really don't understand this fuss about "disrespect".  Saying that he has a lot of baggage and isn't a team player is not the same as saying he is "garbage/team cancer".
You made an important point when you said that people "loved him in the past while he was playing hard".  That is true.  "WHEN HE WAS PLAYING HARD".  You also said "he didn't anything wrong here".  That's debatable.  I would argue that not playing hard, bailing on the team for birthday parties, etc, is not exactly being a good team player.  Just because someone earns respect doesn't mean that their future actions can't cause them to lose it.  I HAD respect for Rondo, but that respect went out the window in his last few years in Boston and Dallas.  The bottom line is that I want no part of seeing him in Green again.  By comparison, I would LOVE to see Pierce in a C's uniform again because he was always about the TEAM and still is.
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

Rondo averaged 10.8 asts and 7.5 rebs in the 22 games before he was traded.  He is still a great passer and still has great court vision.  What problems did Rondo cause for Stevens when he was here?  Rondo tried to fit into Stevens' system and Stevens gave Rondo enough leeway running the offense.

With 8.3 points per game, 3.4 turnovers per game, a horrific eFG of .429, a laughable .333 FT percentage, a -6 difference between his ORtg and DRtg, by his own admission wasn't playing defense hard and was barely better than a replacement level player. By every single measurement the team has played better with him off the court than on and that's been true of the last two or three years, not just in 22 games last year. Are there any other cherry-picked statistics you want to throw out? Because for every positive one you can toss out there, there are about 3 negative ones.

For this year when they were playing very tough schedule?

What part of China ?

Disrespect and distortion.  There was a single birthday party incident when Rondo wasn't scheduled to play.  It was such a big deal (NOT!) that Ainge didn't talk to Rondo about it until after the road trip and Rondo got exactly NO punishment for it.

Per http://ftw.usatoday.com/2015/01/rajon-rondo-i-havent-played-defense-in-a-couple-of-years, the full Rondo defense quote is below.  First he praises Bradley.  Then he says the Dallas defensive improvement isn't just him. That it is a team effort.  Sounds like a self absorbed diva that doesn't care about the team (NOT!).

I haven’t played defense in a couple of years. I’ve been able to hide it a lot with Avery Bradley on the ball. He’s helped me out, the young guy. But here they expect me to play defense. And in the West, if you don’t play defense you’ll get embarrassed every night at the point guard position. I took it as a challenge (for) myself. It’s not just me. It’s my teammates. Our communication is getting a lot better and our coverages are getting better. So it’s the whole team concept, it’s not just me. Obviously people are going to look at the stats and say, ‘Since Rondo’s came there, they’re down seven or eight points or whatever defensively.’ But we still have a lot of room to improve and I believe we’ll still get better defensively.

The interesting part to me is Rondo's response after the media blew up both incidents.  Most players would have gone into PR mode to clarify or explain in order to put the story to bed.  For the birthday party incident, Rondo told the media it was none of their business.  For the defense quote, he made no clarifying statements.  He could have explained that his ACL injury and recovery encompassed a lot of those couple years. He could have emphasized how Bradley being a great defender had freed him up from being a primary defender.  Instead he said nothing.

As I said before I don't want Rondo back with the current team but if we get a couple stars (e.g. Cousins and Love) to compete for a championship than I'd love to have Rondo back.

Yes, to me, it's a disrespect. Because when he played in Boston i'm sure guys you loved him, rooting for him, defended him. Not a bad word was said while he was playing for Celtics. And now, when it's a new trend hating on him, you forgot what this guy loved being here and what you were smiling when he dropped 40+points against the Heat in the PLAYOFFS or when he was healthy, basically all of you called him 'walking triple-double'. He had no problem with his teammates in Boston (well ugh Ray Allen right cause idk anymore maybe do you respect Ray now), did at least one person from his former teammates at least once strictly said what Rondo is a problem (locker room problem, whatever). And you know, no one in Dallas said so. It's just the media, mostly, and the haters. Do you have any interview from his teammates what shows opposite? Right after season, Charlie Villanueva in his blog mentioned few kind words about Rondo, even afterall this situations when season was over for Mavs. But as i said, what happened in Dallas must stay there. Cause he certainly had a problems with a coach and coach wouldn't give him a chance in the 3rd game against Rockets. So whatever, i'm not really want to say all these thing about the Mavs all over again.
He never gave up while playing for Celtics (playoffs mostly he had amazing journey). You saying what it's debatable when i've mentioned what he didn't do anything wrong in Boston. Okay, did you read interview by PP? This one:

I remember when Rondo re-signed with Boston, we had a little dinner at a restaurant and Ray didn't show up.
"I know Ray probably didn't like Rondo that much, but it wasn't a fact of not liking somebody. You don't have to like everybody you play with -- it's a matter of showing support. Rondo probably didn't like Ray either, but he came to Ray's functions to show, 'Hey, we're together in this.'

Did you read this? Huh Rondo was attented meeting. So now you actually chosen to remember some bad things (when he stayed in LA for one [dang] day while he was injured to celebrate his one bday), instead of good. It's your right. But somehow, he played in a team where was KG and PP and they all still keep in touch.

He said nothing because he didn't want to making excuses to the media. That's who he is. Living his life hiding everything, being privacy, all the years he was mainly annoyed while giving any words to the media, he doesn't like it. Doesn't like to explain himself. His words. Not attention seeker. He's not using Twitter much or any social networks. Do you remember the last time when he send a long tweet? I do remember just one - when he was traded from Boston. It was enough. Let's not pretend we do not know who he is: he was just like that most of the time. And no, i'm not saying what he's perfect

Paul better in what? Some stats? Whatever man. He is surrounded with in a great talents around him and Doc (former coach who used to *what a coincidence* work with Rondo). Still can't reach the conference finals! Blake Griffin was the one who teased LA with some triple-doubles. CP3 is better that Rondo now? Okay but Rajon had ACL and at least he knows how to play in finals

Wow....if you really think that Rondo is/was better than Chris Paul then that explains a lot about your comments in this thread.

We should bring Rondo back as an assistant coach. The defensive coach and free throw shooting coach.

So, again - "Which one of these things is NOT like the other, LOL?"

One of these things is a superstar and actually makes his team better!  :D

What do I win?

Hmmm...you know, Alex - that is a sketchy answer....may have to get your lifeline for that one. (Wrong show? lol)

If you mean "ChrisPaul" he must've left the "Superstar" tag at home for THREE STRAIGHT GAMES......if you meant Rondo, well....he "was" one of these for FOUR STRAIGHT YEARS:

And he has one of those shiny gold things, too :)

So, because you mentioned Superstar (Which Rondo, at times performed as), you win:
