The fact that people here think there's even a 1% possibility that Rondo comes back is laughable.  It blows my mind that people are still holding out hope that he comes back.

Why would you want him back?  He's got no jump shot, shoots 40% from the free throw line, shows no interest in improving his shot, plays half-ass defense, isn't coachable, and as we saw with Dallas, if things don't go his way, HE QUITS.  The Mavericks actually had to make up an injury for him just to keep him away.  His own teammates voted to not give him a playoff share.

Move on from Rondo, it's over.

lmaao trust in media even more now they really really working hard! more & more headlines what's all you need

Dirk Nowitzki on if the team voted to not give Rajon Rondo a playoff share:

"No, we actually didn't vote. It was just the guys who were there that day got a playoff share. What we usually do is give a lot of weight to the guys that work for you all season long; the locker room guys, the equipment guys, the trainers, the massage guys [or] whoever you feel helped you get through the season. We usually divide it up and then give them a lot of money. I think that got blown out of proportion. It's not like it was that much money. I don't think Rondo would have cared either way." And this will make you happy? We all hoped that we could have fireworks last summer and bring in a star or that Rondo would make us over achieve () like IT has done- It didn't work out, but there is no need to be mad at Rondo. For all the **** he gets, he never demanded a trade, he never talked to the media about his next contract and he never said a bad word about us after the fact. Add to it we got a real talent in Crowder in the trade. So why the hate? Rondo gets more hate than Ray Allen and that's crazy.

Exactly, well said!

Eh, not so sure I believe that quote.  Of course Dirk is going to say that.  He's never been the type of player that publicly trashes a current or former teammate.  And even still, if he says it goes to the people who were there that day.  You know why he wasn't there?  Because he quit on his team and they asked him to stay away.

Ofc! Believe in media then, like i said. No one from Rondo's former teammates never said something bad about him, even in Dallas. Except the media. You want to believe in whatever media says, so whatever. He didn't quit. The coach wouldn't let him play his game anyway. For every single mistake Rick benched him immediately. If you watched every Mavs game, you would notice. But i'm not going to discuss it all over & over again, no point. You dislike Rondo and it's meaning what you're no longer respect him for the past achievements what he did for Celtics. It's okay if you don't want him back, keep the trash going

Dirk ' admitting they stiffed him. If the players wanted to include him they would have.

Dirk: "No, we actually didn't vote."

I don't even care about this anymore. He was bad fit in Dallas, i'm blaming him too (but not just him). He never had any type of problems like that in Boston and simply, i don't think what he's done as a player or most importantly, as a teammate. If anyone here still enjoys talking over and over again about these stories, go ahead

He didn't quit.
That is a very interesting question.  Did Rondo quit on the Mavs or did Carlisle "fire" Rondo?   I am not sure which is worse when the question is should the Celtics bring Rondo back.

I hope Rondo gets his head on straight and finds a team that he can help and play well for, even if it is the Lakers.  I just don't want Rondo back on the Celtics.

Any chance they bring Rondo back?

I'm changing the title back back as a public service to my esteemed brethren who don't want to read it.

Didn't work at the top level.

What does that video show really? Couldn't you say the coach quit on Rondo?

OK fine, lets let the open market decided what Rondo's present value is. Let's see how many league GM's fight to sign Rondo, and for how much.

Prediction...he gets less money than he's presently making, and a short term contract, even with the salary cap on the rise.

And this will make you happy? We all hoped that we could have fireworks last summer and bring in a star or that Rondo would make us over achieve () like IT has done- It didn't work out, but there is no need to be mad at Rondo. For all the **** he gets, he never demanded a trade, he never talked to the media about his next contract and he never said a bad word about us after the fact. I don't hate Rondo...I don't like his game as an NBA point guard. I don't want him back on this Celtic team under any circumstances.
Right now his game is way too predictable and narrow. He's a one trick pony. And he has an acidic personality. He's not right for many teams.
