Its not going to be a sexy pick and some fans will be irrate to see the Cs draft another small PF but post measurments I think Harrell becomes a possibility at #16.

He measured 6'7" with out shoes with a 7'4.25" wingspan and 9'1 standing reach. He was also a surprising  253lbs with 11.9%bf. The weight is higher then expected but conditioning has never seemed to be an issue with him.

Those measurements along with his high end athleticism and elite defensive skill set should push him up in the draft. Watching Tristian Thompson excel this post season for the Cavs I would think this has to help Harrell in the Draft. They are very similar players. If the Cs draft him in a BPA situation I think short term he can fit with KO,Sully and Zeller. Long term his versatility should make him an easy player to fit into a changing roster. I also think he has room to develop on offense, he showed a willingness to play facing the basket in college and its clear he is working on this area on his game.

This comment for Ainge does not bode well for guys like Sully.

Trouble is he was 6-7.5" in shoes .  That is really short for a PF and he does not have a SF skillset.  He has nice arm length and it will be interesting to see his vertical and the like.

I hope Ainge quits drafting tweeners like this fellow, although I really like his heart.

the in shoe measurement is kind of ridiculous. He only gained .5" from his shoes most guys gain 1.25". He is 6'8. Taller then Milsap, Bass and Faried. The same height as T Young and J Smith. None of these players come close to his 7'4.25" wingspan.

I've never been high on Harrell but his 9'1 standing reach changes my perceptions a bit. Sounds like his tools are outstanding except for height, which is obviously quite a weakness. My other question about him is if his skillset is really more that of a C, in which case his height becomes a crippling weakness.

I thought it was wild too, but who wears shoes with 1.25" heels, I do not wear high heels.

  That is true.

Looking at some of these games, it looks to me as if he is a bottom feeder who feasted on teams like Minnesota and Pitt.   Against teams with NBA size bigs he did not fare as well.  Heck his production was all over the place.

9 Points and 9 boards against UK.  4 for 9 shooting that game with a roster with NBA size.

I think he has a place in this league. I just do not see superstar like some in him.

Can't wait to see his athletic measurements.

I'm worried about Vezenkov not being at the combine. Does this mean he is out of the draft? I know he has a bunch of offers from teams in Europe.
Vezenkov's camp has maintained that it's too early for him to go to the NBA and they'd like to spend some time at an established European club first. Don't know whether that means he'll withdraw, but he probably isn't coming this year.

It doesn't really bode well for anyone on the team -- not just Sully.  We have a lot of guys that can play one end much better than the other.

If we end up keeping all 4 picks a player that isn't coming over is exactly who we should be looking for in the second round. I'd be happy with him or Mam Jaiteh with the Sixers pick.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I agree his offense is still raw and he isnt a go to option even at the college level vs elite teams. He is a Faried / Thompson type who get his offense via energy and hustle. However he did improve on his perimeter game this season. I also think he projects as a superior defender to Faried or Thomspon due to his length and strength.

Acording to twitter the C's have met with Christian Wood, Stanley Johnson, Justin Anderson, and have a following meeting tomorrow with Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. RHJ and Anderson have work outs scheduled

BTW Rakeem Christmas looked really good in the game today. Really shot the ball well which was a surprise.

Tyus Jones gained 1.75 inches from his shoes, which seems a little ridiculous.

Interesting that they've met with Stanley Johnson.  He could go as early as #5 overall.  You have a limited amount of interviews, so to use one on someone that highly projected (no way he falls to 16) indicates Ainge is giving serious thought to trading up (especially since they have so many other picks to meet potential players for).

Edit: Also looks like they've met with Murray State PG Cameron Payne.

I thought it was interesting as well when I read about the interview, and his comments even made it more interesting;

Quote
Gary Washburn: Arizona's Stanley Johnson has met with #Celtics. Said he's known Brad Stevens for a few years. Boston would have to trade up to get him.

Jay King: Stanley Johnson has known Brad Stevens for years. Said the meeting went well. Thinks Boston is a "definite possibility." Twitter @ByJayKing

If guys like Portis, Turner can't hang with Towns, Wcs then how will they do against bigger/stronger/smarter nba pf/centers??

You don't have to do better but not get outplayed

Jarell Martin held his own vs the Kentucky trees. Mighty impressive for a guy that is 6'9.5  with a 6'9.5 wingspan, 235 pounds
Being at home and having good guard play helps.
