BPA is generally the best approach but it's hyperbolic to simply dismiss positional needs. If Danny feels Kaminsky is the BPA by the time we can use LAC's pick, but feels Player X is only slightly behind and is either a long wing or a truer center than Kaminsky, I'd want him to take Player X. To me BPA only works exclusively on its own when comparing a player to an obviously inferior player.
I'd really like us to move up for Hezonja. That will likely cost the Clippers pick, though Danny might try to capitalize on the BKN picks' value if he feels the rising cap will ease their fall from a playoff team. If we do keep our pick and LAC's, I'd love Myles Turner (I think he'll be there between 8-10) and LeVert. Both project to be near the level of or even the BPA within their respective ranges and both fill positions/roles of need.
