He doesn't have the appeal of Towns, WCS, and other bigs, but this kid is going to be a player for years to come. He scores, rebounds, blocks shots, and is a leader on his team.

Even worst case scenario he is not the center we need, we have an upgrade at PF for the future.

I've liked him a lot since last year. I'm worried that the speed of his game won't translate well to the NBA. Alongside Sully, KO, and Zeller he'd be too slow for us but I hope he proves himself elsewhere.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
No. No. No. No.

Not another guy who can't defend... I would say KO is a better player imo..

It's based on your perspective, quite simply
We're the same and we're not; know what I'm saying? Listen
Son, I ain't better than you, I just think different

I'm not thinking the C's will be picking high enough to land a top big.

But I'm really curious about this guy at the 3:

Very young, but lots of professional experience. Can shoot with range. Good size. Must be scrappy and hard-nosed with all those rebounds.

Feels like a pretty lateral move since we have Kelly. If we were to use our first on Kaminsky I'd want us to swing for the fences with The Clippers pick and take someone with high upside like Caris LaVert.

But honestly at that point in the draft (9-14) there are probably better options for upgrading the wing then needing to take Kaminsky.

Do i think Frank will have a better career than KO....? Yes, IMO think he's more solid, runs better, and is more of a true 5 than KO. Do I think it's enough of an upgrade to warrant taking Kaminsky...? Not really, but if that's what management decides he'd definitely be a good fit on this roster and culture.

People complain about lack of speed, but Duncan isn't the fastest guy out there, but foot work and knowing were he needs to be makes up for it.

Now I don't know if Frank has that, Only seen him play a couple of times, but he's not horrible. We're we most likely will be picking high teens as of now and he's still on the board, I'd take him if he's the BPA.

He could always be used in a packaged trade.

If he is the best player available I would be fine drafting him. I think he fits our system.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I have some interest in him and definitely think he could be a better fit than KO. Maybe not right away though

Kaminsky > KO
What have you seen from KO that makes you think he's better than Kaminsky?
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Basically KO with longer arms.

I'd take him if we trade Olynyk. I would not like two very similar players in our depth.

It's not just Kaminsky's lack of athleticism that's an issue. There are also questions about his strength, ability to adjust to the physicality at the NBA level, age, ability to rebound at the next level, and his wingspan. So when you factor in his strengths/weaknesses with what our roster currently has/lacks then the fit couldn't be more redundant.

If he's available 14-16, I  think you have to take him. Redundant with KO, sure, but a far better prospect overall: better shooter, better defender, longer, quicker, more post game, etc. Not a top 10 prospect in my book bit great value around #15.

1)  You think he can't get any stronger?
2)  With added strength, he will be able to handle the physicality at the NBA level  better
3) His rebounding might become better after adding strength. He is good at boxing out already
3)  He has a 7'0 wingspan plus.  7'1-7'2 is a guess.  He does not have t-rex arms like KO
4)  His offensive skills are rare for his height.  How many guys at his height can shoot the threes and also operate from the post?

Taking Kaminsky if he is there at 13-15 is a good risk to take

I like KO alot and still think he will be a better player than most here think, but if Kaminsky is avail with our pick and that might mean that KO has to be traded, I would trade KO
