forget what the NBA does. If CBS thinks it was a bush league play then the Cs should suspend him two games without pay, and send him out for anger management otherwise this will become a recurring problem.

Ten bucks says half of the people trying to dismiss Smart's move as incidental were part of the same crowd calling for DeMarcus Cousins' head a few months ago.

So what, you think Smart sucks now?

You are ridiculously protective of any Celtic. I make a comment

Ten bucks says half of the people trying to dismiss Smart's move as incidental were part of the same crowd calling for DeMarcus Cousins' head a few months ago.

Because that totally makes sense  ::)

This is a legitimate questionable contact case. He was fighting over screens and there was a bunch of contact. In my mind, it's 50/50. It could have been purposeful or it could have been accidental. I don't know.

There's nothing accidental about grabbing a jersey and hip-tossing a guy across your leg.

Smart was rough and a bit reckless tonight, but he didn't "Ronda Rousey" anybody out there.

It's only a "legitimate questionable contact case" on CelticsBlog. Even his own coach isn't buying Smart's nonsensical "it was an accident!" argument.

Does CBS have some sort of special insight to this situation that we don't? I don't think so. In fact, I bet the tv viewers had a better angle to see what actually happened than he did down on the court. I don't see why what CBS said should be authoritative, especially when Smart is still denying it himself.

Again, it looks like some preconceived notions of Smart are at play here. That you really think he took what amounts to a crow-hop, reared his arm back, and took a shot at Bonner's groin on purpose is just amazing. And that you're so certain about this being a nonsensical story just further supports this thesis.

Come on NBA, help the Cs for once. Don't suspend him. Should he be? Yes, if I had to enforce the rule. I just need it not to happen. Why ussssssssssssss???
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

He had a reputation in college and is living up to it as a rookie.  The Celtics would be wise to address it with him.

I bet Heat fans think what Wade did to RR wasn't intentional, he sure said it wasn't. I still wanna chop his arm off.

I want Smart on the court. This didn't help that.

(Ducks for cover)  :o

Honestly, I think the whole Wade/Rondo situation was overblown, too. It was a dirty play, because he brought his leg back to sweep Rondo to take him down with him and not keep him in the play. But Rondo's elbow dislocated due to an awkward landing and freak accident, and if his elbow wouldn't have been dislocated this play never would've become infamous. All Wade was trying to do was take Rondo to the ground with him and keep him out of the play, which is really just an old dirty vet play. I don't think he was trying to hurt Rondo or anything, and it's definitely not on World-Peace elbowing Harden in the head level.

Wade is a dirty player, but it seems like his reputation made this particular instance overblown.

I'd say it was just as intentional if Bonner had done it to Smart. It's got nothing to do with preconceived notions of Smart.

Better trade or fire Marcus Smart now. This kind of behavior is not accepted in the locker room!!  ::) ::)

Perhaps everyone should be judged by a single action that happened when they were 18.

The guy in the crowd was talking crap calling him the "n-word" and all kinds of stuff. At 18 I would've pulled a Ron Artest on the guy if I was in Smart's shoes. Give the kid a break. I'm sure you don't want to be judged and characterized by some of your actions when you were 18. I know I don't.

I don't think anyone will disagree with you. I find it hard to believe you will find a sane person who will say he intentionally tried to screw up RR's arm. The intent was to bring him down and when you do wrong, sometimes it can have unintended consequences. I always thought karma was suppose to hit the evil-doer, how did RR end up with the dislocation LOL?

I understand what you mean, but it just seems more like a savvy vet move more than anything. It's the type of thing KG would do to get the smallest of advantages against his opponent, though I'm not sure if KG is the proper example to use in dirty play discussions lol  ;)

I don't believe Smart hit him hard ...because it was anything personal,,against Bonner .....I doubt they ever played against each other .

Marcus seems kind and low key off court .  ,he is like KG ....your his enemy if your not wearing a Celtic jersey when he takes the court.

We need his passion ......this court tuffness has clearly been lacking since Pierce and KG left.

Marcus is a warrior and got caught up,in the heat of Battle...

I hope the NBA doesn't over blow this whole thing ,,like so often is done today about everything that seems unfair in life.

I didn't judge him for that, but there is a pattern developing of him losing his temper.  The team should not turn a blind eye to it.
