Bobby Portis is pretty darn good. He has had monster games all year including in the tourney with 18/14 game in losing to a 4th seeded UNC. He was the SEC player of the year and he is only a sophomore. We would be lucky to draft him outside top 10 he has Chris Bosh potential.

His comparison I've seen is Greg Monroe so both comparisons are good. Not that it means anything once they get to the NBA. If we go outside top 10 and WCS, Winslow, or Oubre are all gone, I'd take Portis. Probably over Turner or Kaminsky too.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

My gut says we're going to end up with a guy like Bobby Portis. And I'm not sold on WCS... he reminds me of a young Tyson Chandler. Chandler grew up and became a great leader. I don't know that that will happen with WCS. And I think that's a major reason Chandler had a big impact on the Mavs. Without that, his athleticism would not have made the difference between winning and losing.

After today, I think I'd rather a guy like Justise Winslow.

I watched Bobby Portis very carefully in his game vs. UNC, and he was utterly unimpressive.  Shot the ball horribly.  His shot is ugly.  He is rail thin!!!!  He needs another year at Arkansas!!

He also shot 5-15 and had ZERO blocks!!!!  He looked skinny and soft to me.

You guys simply must have seen a different Portis than the soft and poor shooting (5-15) guy I saw that was virtually invisible on defense (other than his five steals), allowing dunk after dunk by younger UNC players.

P.S. Also, you must simply NOT be watching Kaminsky.  Yes, he is skinny, but, wow, he is an efficient player.  I will be very interested to see how he plays against UNC's talented and athletic front lines.  That will tell me what I need to know about Frank and whether we should look at him in this draft.  I am already hedging yes, but you need to SHOW ME Frank:-))!!

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.

Just saw Isaiah Thomas and he was walking normal again, so that's a start. Brad Stevens said they're shooting for mid-week return now.

Mike Gorman stated that IT is at least less than a week away, so that's good news. God knows we need his clutch shooting.

I don't agree with the rail thin comment but his shot is ugly. It looks like a catapult when he shoots. I would be pretty disappointed if we drafted this guy.

I'd really like to see him back tonight. Would be a huge win for us coming down the stretch.
