If I'm Danny, I'm offering max contracts to a restricted free agent then telling their teams that I will pay draft picks in a sign and trade so they don't match. We might have enough assets to convince a team to not match on Butler, Kawhi, or Green.

I think if that doesn't work the C's will offer Greg Monroe the max (with the cap exploding it won't look so bad in a year), then also pick up someone who can shoot and play the 3 position.

Kawhi max with picks? so Spurs doesn't match
Greg Monroe with picks/Sully or KO trade

is this at all possible?

I think the first target should be Monroe. He's young, we actually have a chance of signing him and hes a big that has not even scratched his full potential.

I wonder if we signed Monroe if Hibbert would be interested in coming along with his buddy in a sign and trade? Would Indy do a S&T centered around Sully, Wallaces expiring and a pick? Dont see why not.

Here's your first TP..welcome.

I've been a big proponent of getting the Hoya boys together for awhile. Monroe and Hibbert would compliment each other tremendously.

Even if we can't get Hibbert, Monroe would be my first order of business.

Agreed, getting Hibbert and Monroe would be awesome and they would make an awesome front court!

I am, by no means, an expert in capology but if we signed a free agent or RFA first for let's say 16 million.  Could we then use our rondo TPE to go above the 66 cap?  Let us say Jimmy Butler RFA followed by Ibaka TPE.  Of course in this ridiculous scenario we are giving away most of our picks...

Can the C's pull a 'poison pill' offer off like Houston did with that totally overrated Turkish center from the Bulls?

Perhaps that would make one of their RFA offers stick?
