I have a feeling Detroit will pay Monroe big dollars to try to keep him. Since the dumping of Smith, that team has showed some positive signs. There reloading rather than rebuilding for sure. So we may have to pony up for Monroe.
If he's not a center, and we still like Sully's up side, we should concentrate on a suitable center.
(If you feel Sully will not be able to defend his position, or get in shape, that's a different story completely.)
I say Max deal for D. Jordan. Max deal for Gasol. At least try.
Danny's brilliant scouting dept ....will draft another Fab Melo .......pass on all the Plumlee Zeller types ....and he'll get all crazy over some more short guards .......
So well just have a team of 15 guards . ....SMH
Danny has a pretty decent record in the Draft:
2014 1.6 Marcus Smart
1.17 James Young
2013 1.13 Kelly Olynyk
2012 1.21 Jared Sullinger
1.22 Fab Melo
2011 1.27 Jajuan Johnson
2010 1.19 Avery Bradley
2008 1.30 JR Giddens
2007 1.5 Traded for Ray Allen
2.5 Glenn Davis**
2006 1.21 Rajon Rondo
2005 1.18 Gerald Green*
2.20 Ryan Gomes*
2004 1.15 Al Jefferson*
1.24 Delonte West
1.25 Tony Allen
*= in KG deal
**= also aquired in Ray Allen deal
He has some busts, but he has been in the top 10 2x and got Smart once and Allen and Big Baby for the pick Szczerbiak and Delonte. from 10-15 hes had two picks and grabbed Big Al and KO. After that hes hit or miss but he has gotten Rondo, Sully, TA, Bradley, Big Baby, and Delonte if you count him. That offsets Green, Giddens, Johnson, Melo in my oppinion.
hes made the most of precious few opportunities in the top 15 and hes been 50-50 outside of it.
Considering we will be top 15 this year and Brooklyn will probably be top 15 the next 2-3 years we arent in bad shape
