In hindsight I now wish we would've traded rondo for gortat and dragic back in the day.

Hindsight also had us trading Rondo and Ray for Amare and Barbosa in 2009. Although I just found out it included the 14th pick in 2009.

VERY interesting article on this trade below. After reading it I realized 2009 was the start of how the league was shaped for the next 5-6 years.

The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Regardless of opinion, I think it's becoming more and more apparent that a deal is getting done either today or tomorrow. To where I don't know, but Dragic has gone on record to saying he doesn't trust Phoenix's front office anymore. This won't end well between the two sides.

Didn't IT also say he was told he'd be starting for the Suns when he signed there?  He was pretty foolish to believe it, but it sounds like Phoenix's front office may have been jerking guys around a bit.  Would explain why Dragic doesn't trust them.

Honestly sounds like they treated their roster like it was the DKC or the CBlog Draft instead of employees/people.

Oops!

Learning experience for their team.

For what it's worth Broussard was on Sportscenter saying most people around the league believe he'll end up in Boston...[insert "sauces" pic] lol

Now I feel confident more than ever that he won't end up in Boston.

After being all over the news about there being 7 feet of snow on the ground and more coming, I am sure Dragic will be thrilled with the idea of being traded to Boston and signing long term in Boston. Especially after playing in Phoenix.

Judging by myself, I don't think that Europeans have the particular allergy to cold weather that some of the locals seem to exhibit. But that's pure speculation. In any case, I just think he's trying to put himself in the best position to get paid in the offseason. Which to me means going to a team that is going to give him a major role, and won't be averse to slapping a big, long contract offer on the table if the production is there in the end of season.

Yeah that's the kiss of death right there.

It is possible we're the only serious bidder so far, though, in which case I hope Danny's lowballing like crazy.

As much as i cant stand Chris "Multiple Sources" Broussard, He has some pretty decent ties in the NBA. He has been right on quite a few occasions.

Yeah, it's unclear whether the Suns were jerking people around or expecting that Eric Bledsoe would not be on the team.  I think it was the latter, and that they thougt they would be able to sign-and-trade Bledsoe over the summer.  In either case, they made promises they didn't or couldn't keep, and they're dealing with the fallout now.

I'd trade for him depending on what we give up

I wouldn't send our lottery pick or the Brooklyn picks

I would send a 1st + 2nd rounders and a veteran player bass Thornton Wallace, crowder  or prince

I don't know whether or not the Suns do this deal but if they were to ask for 2 1st rounders or our lottery pick/ Brooklyn, I'd pass

Dragic is a good starter
But he is a little old, has a lower ceiling and isn't a superstar calibre player
Also there is plenty of depth at the PG position so u could find decent value anywhere in the league for a PG

FWIW - Chris Mannix saying Dragic doesn't want to come to Boston....

Boston an intriguing trading partner for PHX because of assets, but sources close to Dragic say: He isn't interested. Doesn't like BOS fit.
