2nd worst team after Philly. But less talented than Philly.

I wish that was the case, but we're impressively mediocre at the moment.
No. We were. Now we're horrid. We are about to see how terrible a player Marcus Smart is.
He was so terrible against the Wizards wasn't he
Ow wow. One good game. He should be so proud. I mean usually when you get the 6th pick in the draft if they have a good game some time before Christmas you feel pretty lucky.
I mean Rondo hasn't had any good games this year or anything.

Minnesota is worse by a lot.  Someone Detroit could still finish worse than us, too.  I am not sure how that is possible, but it is

Should be about the same as we were with Rondo.  25-30 wins.

So then why wait with trading the other vets and why force the Rondo trade right now? That record is probably a 6-8th pick in the lottery. Good enough for WCS, who I like, but not necessarily good enough for a game-changer.
10 Reasons Why We Had To Trade Rondo Now:

#1 - He was leaving anyways.  This team isn't competing anytime soon.  Keeping him was a pipe dream.
#2 - He doesn't make the team better
#3 - We have a young guard who should be getting his minutes asap
#4 - Any assets are better than no assets.
#5 - Doing the trade now means we can flip Wright at the trade deadline
#6 - Having two picks in the 20-30 range (Clips/Dallas) might allow us to move up if we like someone
#7 - A 12 mil trade exception gives us flexibility
#8 - Trading Rondo to Dallas poisons their league's best offense and makes their pick increase in value every day
#9 - If Rondo's heart is true, he shall return this summer.
#10 - For the lulz

Minny? Worse because they're in the west?

They have a pg. They have bigs. They have wings.

We have....Jeff Green? KO? Sully?

You think those guys will be able to score now?

I reject every single one of these.

No, we are about to see how terrible Nelson is.  Which is way worse than Smart.
Although I am def. on the side of 'show me more than one game against the magic' for smart.

Smart was very streaky playing for OSU.  I watched a lot of his games and sometimes he dominated, other games he wasn't a game changer.  Hard to expect him to be a lot better than that his 1st year.

It doesn't really matter overall who plays point:  Nelson sucks, M. Smart isn't ready to really run an NBA team, and ET is turnover prone and lacking bbiq.

If Green and a Bass stay......about the same this year

But there is No chance of landing a free agent star with out another star

Stars chase stars

The only chance now is a prayer of a top 3 lottery pick .

I have little faith Our stupid GM can pick another Pierce ...

He drafted Fab Melo and JJJ

Err he also drafted Rondo. Many other GMs have terrible draftees.

Shhh.    Today is for irrational thoughts to express anger for the loss of true love.

1.) He could also resign.
2.) Or maybe because the tea is not good already to begin with. Or maybe you have a different expectation for him.
3.) He could easily be playing over Bradley, who sucks more than Rondo does.
4.) An "asset" who may also walk and a pick in the 20's, which will just take on salary and could be useless.
5.) Or we could just not trade for Wright and find a better deal for Rondo. Less work, no?
6.) We had two picks in the #6 and #17, and yet we couldnt move up. What more with two 20's?
7.) I'll give you this, but this is still not worth Rondo.
8.) How? That pick will get into the late round with Rondo on board.
9.) Isnt there a rule that prevents from doing that? If not, then, great.
10.) I dont find it funny.
