The guy never played 20+ minutes in his career. The only thing he's filling is energy off the bench. And that costed us a great PG in the process.

Please elaborate how Rondo has been a "great" PG this year or last year. Also, what is your criteria for a player to be "great"? Is that a top 3 player at their position? Top 5? Top 10? Top 20?

Please tell me that you saw what Rondo can do in the Playoffs?

He's also leading in Assists and rebounds (for his position) this year and that's with a below average team surrounding him.

And I'll humor you, even if he wasn't as great as he was. Do you honestly think that Brandan Wright and a 2016 late first is good value for him>

At 240 pounds he is not a presence in the paint and is a below average defender.

No, you've just been looking too long at Sullinger's physique. Everyone short of Charles Barkley looks skinny compared to him.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

Wrights shooting % will take a huge hit in Bosten as will Zellers without Rondo. there just isnt a good working pick and roll avalible for the Celtics.

Turner doesnt do the bounce pass - his passes of pentrations are always eighter off, too low or just too fast for the bigs to catch. He allways makes me so fourius when he makes the bigs look incompetent catching the ball that I'm close to throwing something into my TV. I mean how many time do I do that kind of stupid pass until I figure out that my pass is the problem and not the reciever. Even if he is new to playing PG he should by now show signs of reacting to the obv.. Bradley can't do it eighter - he is a SG and best to be used in Pick and Pop situations and open corner 3s if nothing else opens up. Smarts passing isnt nowhere near Rondos yet, its hard to say if he can make that type of play work in our favor from the few I have seen of him so far this season (I sadly missed the double OT game). The player that gets closest in that regard is Presey because he runs the court up so hard that he gets the D backpaddeling which opens up passing routes and team mates. but thats still much less often the case as when you combine the simular situations with rondo + the pick & roll situations where rondo made the bounce pass to the roll guy. It also reguires Wright or Zeller to keep up with him if thats not the case the ball goes more likely to the open trailer  for the 3 (in other words Suli).

Both Zeller and Wright are best in Situations where they cut to the basket if you take that part of their offence game away they lose a lot scoring potential besides a followup tipin now and then.

Well... his per minute production is surprisingly great.  Per-36 averages of 17 points, 8 rebounds, 3 blocks, 1.3 steals on 75% shooting (76% from the line)

Gotta hand it to Ainge... trading one of the league's most overrated players for one of the league's most underrated.   I'm still a fan of Danny.

I don't even know where to begin here.  WOW. :o

I'd like to see him go at it with Al Jefferson, or Al Horford, or Roy Hibbert down low, seeming as you want him to be our Center. He can prove me wrong there. I dont think he will, but sure, by all means.

It's good value if it was the only deal on the table.  Ainge had to get this done in order to be able to flip them in another deal before the trade deadline.  Rondo is not the same player.  He's still the best passing PG in the league but he can't shoot or play defense.  And considering that he was going to bail, a 1st rd pick and a trade exemption isn't a bad deal.
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.
