If we're dealing Rondo, which prospect would you most want to see come our way?

Wow last year when some of us insisted on trading him we were met with hostility and "that's not enough for rondo!".

Let's hope Danny can work something out

Though I've thought we should look to deal Rondo since we shipped off PP/KG, I can definitely understand why some reacted that way until now. Rondo had a whole 'nother year left on his deal and memories of his 2012 ECF series were fresher in our minds. There was also a lot of hope that we'd pull off a big deal a la Kevin Love this summer and Rondo would have better running mates as well as a shot at another ring in Boston

I'm still not on board with trading Rondo.  Please don't see this as "hostility" directed at anyone who feels differently.

It just seems to me that the main argument for trading him at this point is that we may not be able to re-sign him in the off-season.  I feel like that kind of negative decision making would likely backfire and could possibly land us in a very long, drawn out rebuilding process, which is a nice way of saying we'll suck for a long time.

Basically, I'd rather see the Boston Celtics work towards becoming a team where good players want to play than see them work to become a team whose only hope lies in crossing our fingers on young players on their rookie contracts.

I'm not sure that the argument is that we'd be able to resign him. From my reading it's that whatever deal we sign him to is inevitably going to be too much money, even if it's secretly a good deal.

If that's the argument, that he's simply not worth it (regardless of cost), then I double disagree.

Maybe a contending team with a bad contract to unload would want him.

at this point if you could get Amare's expiring for Rondo + Wallace, it's a win.

"1st" can mean a lot of things. It'd have to be a lotto-bound 1st, and that's a complicated order for a Knicks team that didn't have a 1st last year and has future draft obligations to other teams.

Just say no to Zach Lavine.  That kid has the court awareness of a 7th grade wrestler.

Just say no to Zach Lavine.  That kid has the court awareness of a 7th grade wrestler.

First two and last two for me. McLemore may end up being good, but we have Young, Bradley, and Smart to fill that role - and I can't imagine he surpasses all three of those guys. Dieng has solid defensive instincts, but not on the level of Rondo. Lavine scares me way too much and wouldn't even trade Bradley for him. And Giannis, I'm afraid his hype outweighs his substance right now, but of course that could change.

Has to be someone with the potential to make it to multiple all star games and multiple defensive all nba teams and also attract major free agents and wants to play here.
Leading the league in assists and pg rebs would be a plus.

Maybe Jabari Parker and a 2nd round pick
