There is so much said and presumed about people in this world, especially famous people, that you can probably find a way to draw just about any conclusion you'd want.  Sometimes the evidence is overwhelmingly against the righteousness of a human being (eg, OJ, Hernandez...). But a lot of the time I think we like to make minor villains out of people who are just being human.  I am very glad that my personal decisions have not been public because I've probably made mistakes, been selfish, been thoughtless and been embarrassingly wrong at times.

Lebron appears to be a pretty decent guy overall who, like most of us, makes some good decisions and some bad ones.  Hopefully, he is nice to his wife, children, mother, neighbors, waitresses and barbers. That would matter more to me than what others speculate about how he treats Pat Riley, Dwayne Wade. or the fans of Miami.

Besides already being the top 5 greatest player of all time, this point tip him over as exactly why I want him to be better than Jordan (the conversation is already in the air).  The guy is clearly a better human being than Jordan and Kobe.  He's the ultimate role model in my estimation.  He came to the league very immature (something we all go through) and has made mistakes in the past (again, we all do) but he has vastly improved and matured.  I just love the way he carries himself.  Unlike his two rivalries, he became a better person.

Magic.  Bird.  Russell.  Wilt.  Kareem.  Shaq.  Kobe.  Duncan.  Jordan.  You cannot, right now, put LeBron any better than #10.

Mike
If I was building a team I would rather have LeBron than Kobe, Duncan or Wilt.

clearly competitiveness and winning wouldnt be important then....those 3 guys have more chips than Lebron and are much better competitors.

I doubt you would see any of them sitting on the bench crying with 8 minutes left in a 4th quarter while you are down 17pts. And thats the difference from lebron and guys like Jordan, kobe etc.

even Pierce, look at his last game as a celtic. C's were down to the knicks big and pierce/garnett kept fighting until the end. then look at Lebron this year crying on the bench refusing to go back out there...cowardly

Nba is full of pothead n crackheads. Nba is purely sketchy and to me is a fixed as it gets which is the only way I can see how lebron passes tests.

Why do you even bother following the NBA? I mean, if you are this paranoid and delusional about it, why don't you just strap on your tinfoil hat and go watch some other sport that isn't "fixed as it gets"? Clearly you don't actually care about little things like "facts" or "common sense", or else you wouldn't be making this argument in the first place.

Malone, Mason, and Mourning looked like actual bodybuilders.  Lebron has a great frame, but if you see him shirtless he has no chest and there isn't a ton of extra muscle pass on his frame that wouldn't be there naturally.  It's possible that any player could have taken PED's for functional reasons, but Lebron's size doesn't not indicate steroids to me.  He's not even close to looking like the other 3 I mentioned.  And I don't believe their listed weights for a second.

Please show me any article that proves that high school athletes are on PEDS.. even better show me a failed test from lebron to prove he's on any peds. As a matter of fact just show me any facts to support this.  Nba isn't the mlb or nfl.. not many failed tests to use as evidence.

STEROID USE AMONG HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES

Steroid Abuse By School Age Children

Quote
The "Monitoring the Future" study conducted in 2002, determined that since 1991 there has been a significant increase of steroid use by school age children. This annual study, supported by the NIDA and conducted by the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan, surveys drug use among eighth, tenth, and twelfth graders in the United States. The first year data was collected on younger students was in 1991. Since 1991 there has been a significant increase in reported steroid use by teenagers. For all three grades, the 2002 levels represent a significant increase from 1991. The following chart illustrates the increase of steroid abuse among teenagers who reported using steroids at least once in their lifetime:

Percent of Students Reporting Steroid Use 1991 - 2002

Year   Eighth grade   Tenth Grade   Twelfth Grade
1991   1.9%   1.8%   2.1%
1999   2.7%   2.7%   2.9%
2002   2.5%   3.5%   4.0%
The 2002 survey also indicated additional data related to steroid abuse by school age children:

Percent of Students Reporting Steroid Use in 2002

Student Steroid Use   Eighth grade   Tenth Grade   Twelfth Grade
Past month use   0.8%   1.0%   1.4%
Past year use   1.5%   2.2%   2.5%
Lifetime use   2.5%   3.5%   4.0%
In addition, the 2002 survey also determined how easy it was for school aged children to obtain steroids. The survey indicated 22% of eighth graders, 33.2% of tenth graders, and 46.1% of twelfth graders surveyed in 2002 reported that steroids were "fairly easy" or "very easy" to obtain. More than 57% of twelfth graders surveyed in 2002 reported that using steroids was a "great risk." Also, another study indicated that steroids are used predominately by males. The survey determined the annual prevalence rates were two to four times as high among males as among females.

The "Monitoring the Future" study also determined that misuse and abuse of steroids is a major concern among school aged children. Some of their findings are alarming and indicate a need for concern:

A survey in 1999 determined that 479,000 students nationwide, or 2.9 percent, had used steroids by their senior year of high school.
A survey in 2001 determined the percentage of 12th graders who believed that taking these drugs causes "great risk" to health declined from 68 percent to 62 percent.

That enough for you or do you need more?

That may be enough for you but not me, this is all based on bloggers speculation based on lebron. The high school to me got off my topic that this guy's a pure beast who's never once failed any drug test in his whole career. Pure hatred for the guy, brings this all, yes I dislike the man as well but I'm far beyond blaming his stardom based on steroids. Those stats are miniscule for comparing that lebron was on steroids in high school. I also was asking for stats on nba players failing PEDS test compared to nfl or mlb.. Nba is full of pothead n crackheads. Nba is purely sketchy and to me is a fixed as it gets which is the only way I can see how lebron passes tests.

how can you have a failed test, WHEN THEY DON'T TEST FOR HGH?

Did people believe Lance Armstrong was juicing before he got caught?

I'll give that LeBron isn't as naturally competitive as these guys, but he won two championships wih Chris Bosh and a declining Dwyane Wade. Give him a primed Shaq, or Elgin Baylor/Jerry West or Parker/Pop I think he would be super successful.

Also, re: steriods...

Rashard Lewis and Hedo Turkoglu are two players that have been caught using PED's.

In 2013, when he was caught, Turks looked like this:

Physique, clearly, is not the best determining factor.

So only two players tested for peds, that says a lot about nba and peds. Could be nba is clean or a full blown cover up

Did I use the phrase "only" anywhere in my post?

There have been nine or ten players that have tested positive for PEDs. That would imply that there are many more players that have been tested, since any test with a 100% accuracy would come under scrutiny.

of course even if true there is no mention whatsoever of what the alleged products were.  might have been totally legal.

From RealGM

http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/234292/Le-Batard-LeBrons-Reps-Misled-Heat-In-Free-Agency

Quote
Dan Le Batard believes LeBron James knew he was going to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers for several days before he announced his decision. James met with Pat Riley on Wednesday of last week before announcing his decision in an orchestrated essay published by Sports Illustrated on Friday.

"I found it interesting that Chris Sheridan, when he broke this story, was talking in sportswriter narrative ? the mythology of going home, and the Rust Belt," said Le Batard. "I found that interesting because I didn?t think it could be right, that a sportswriter and an athlete would both have the sportswriter narrative. But, man, these guys planned that part out beautifully, so it doesn?t become about the way that his entourage feuded with Pat Riley at the end."

The Heat pursued Danny Granger and Josh McRoberts with the assumption James would re-sign........................................................

........
"The Miami Heat were behaving like a team that was gonna get him back," said Le Batard. "They were doing everything, like they were gonna get him back. That?s because the agent for LeBron James [Rich Paul] made them feel like they were gonna get him back. You can?t have two teams behaving like they were gonna get him back."

Le Batard also believes James was already planning on leaving the Miami Heat before the start of the Finals.

"I think it was before [the NBA Finals]. Here?s part of the problem, though, Dan. It?s hard for me to know what?s true and what isn?t, because people are talking about so many different things. But one thing that surprised me, and I heard it from a number of places, is that LeBron?s wife and LeBron?s mom didn?t want to actually go. When he was talking about going back and telling Pat Riley that he needed to talk to his family, he was talking about La Familia ? the group of guys around him. Again, I don?t know what to believe, and I need to talk to LeBron about it. And get honesty from LeBron about it, and I?m not sure those things are possible given the way that they?re spinning these things in a PR way. But I?ve heard in too many places ? not one or two ? that Savannah didn?t actually want to go."

It was all about family, huh, LeBron, or should I say La Familia, not you're real family. Classy: using the pretense of doing it for your family.....and yuh, and Wade and Bosh, you know, your "Brothers for Life"...

Sheridan had the Lebron story before everyone else, funny how that worked right??  Guess who wrote a glowing piece about Lebron's agent back in 2012???  I wonder who leaked the story....this was in the works for over two years...

http://www.sheridanhoops.com/2012/09/13/who-exactly-is-rich-paul-lebrons-new-agent/

pretty interesting read as we sit here two years later....

I apologize if this was posted somewhere else...

LeBatard is the Miami Bill SImmons.

Not much of a Simmons fan, but it's a miscarriage of justice to even imply that LeBatard is close to being on his level.

This thread is starting to remind me of the time when I was in college and stopped into a coffee house for "free coffee and music night" and found out it was a christian youth group reachout program.

I came here for allegations that LeBron misled the Miami Heat, not allegations that LeBron James uses PED's! I just wanted to hear bad cover songs played by amateurs and have a free cup of coffee!!

The NBA does test for PEDs.

The NBA also has a very relaxed drug testing policy.

That does not mean LeBron is definitely on steroids.
