LeBatard: LeBroid and company misled the cHeat: if true, anybody surprised?

not to dump on this thread but the word Edited for profanity.  Please do not do it again. is one of those English terms I have a problem with. I mean why disparage a child because of the circumstances of birth that he/she did not orchestrate?

There is so much said and presumed about people in this world, especially famous people, that you can probably find a way to draw just about any conclusion you'd want.  Sometimes the evidence is overwhelmingly against the righteousness of a human being (eg, OJ, Hernandez...). But a lot of the time I think we like to make minor villains out of people who are just being human.  I am very glad that my personal decisions have not been public because I've probably made mistakes, been selfish, been thoughtless and been embarrassingly wrong at times. 

Lebron appears to be a pretty decent guy overall who, like most of us, makes some good decisions and some bad ones.  Hopefully, he is nice to his wife, children, mother, neighbors, waitresses and barbers. That would matter more to me than what others speculate about how he treats Pat Riley, Dwayne Wade. or the fans of Miami.

Besides already being the top 5 greatest player of all time, this point tip him over as exactly why I want him to be better than Jordan (the conversation is already in the air).  The guy is clearly a better human being than Jordan and Kobe.  He's the ultimate role model in my estimation.  He came to the league very immature (something we all go through) and has made mistakes in the past (again, we all do) but he has vastly improved and matured.  I just love the way he carries himself.  Unlike his two rivalries, he became a better person.

Is it easy or time consuming to always make sure that, for some of you guys, you change LeBron's name to "LeBroid" and Heat to "cHeat"?  Is it always funny?

It's not time consuming at all for me. There's kind of an automaticity to it based on what I believe about the above referenced player and team.

Combine 1. the collusion orchestrated by Pat Riley to get those three together along with
2. 3.  and Wade's proclivity to hurt other players by purposefully dislocating their elbows and rolling on them as well,

and I feel quite comfortable calling that team the cHeat.

Regarding PEDs and their use by many players in many sports, I don't think that is a huge stretch of the imagination to think that James and many other athletes could have been on PEDs, especially HGH at a very young age, given the pressure on high school athletes. He looked like he was 30 when he was 18, both facially and physique-wise. Add to that the jaw and the receding hairline starting then and more so now and his almost super-human physical stature and ability, and while there has never been an iota of evidence to link him directly with PEDs, it's not a huge stretch to think that he was/is.
 
Given all of the above, he looks to me as someone who uses PEDs, fair or not in my perception, hence the automaticity with LeBroid.

So for me, it is easy to use both those appellations.

And, no, I don't think it is funny, and I don't mean it to be funny.

A cheater is a cheater. If you flop, you're cheating, if you collude (very discreetly and cutely, I might add as the cHeat did), you're cheating, if you intentionally try to hurt another player, you are cheating, and if you use PEDs you're cheating. If someone cheats at one thing, why is it so hard to think that they wouldn't cheat at something else?

+1.... the article makes too much sense not to have some validity.....far too many anecdotal coincidences.... there's a lot of smoke here...the NBA not testing for HGH is understandable and obviously self-serving

Don't believe it...the Heat are just p---ed because a player gets to call the shots. Management loves it when they get to tell the players what to do. When the player calls the shots suddenly they are being treated unfairly and lied to about what is going on.

I wish more players could call the shots. Then you would get to see more letters like the one Dan Gilbert wrote or more angry press conferences like the one from Riley. I am still hoping that Donald Sterling unleashes the dirt he digs up on other owners. I bet Sterling isn't the only one with a do as I say plantation mentality.

Almost every media report I read indicated that Lebron wasn't making a commitment to the Heat, he wasn't recruiting free agents, etc.  After his meeting with Riley, the word was still that he wasn't making a committment.

I'm just not sure where the "misleading" came in.

The implication is that Lebron may have made up his mind before Riley reached deals with Granger and McRoberts and that the Heat might not have signed them if they had known that Lebron was actually committed to Cleveland and not uncommitted.
