Have the Celts even worked out any of the top picks?

No, but Ainge doesn't need to workout Parker, he has known him for years...

In fact in the background of a lot of workout videos on cityleaguehoopsTV youtube channel you can see Ainge present for the workouts of Embiid, Parker and Smart.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.

Tweeted the following:

The Cavs, Kings and Celtics are in trade talks involving Rondo to Sacramento an unnamed players to Cleveland & Boston getting the 1st Pick.

Has anyone seen this? Thoughts? It'd certainly count as "fireworks"

Interesting that no one else has picked this up?

Andy Katz just tweeted out - C's, Utah and Magic have spoken to the Cavs about the number pick and the pick would be Parker....

He added to the tweet - If the Cavs select Parker, he could see them moving Parker but if they select Wiggins they will likely keep the pick...

Wow, maybe this has some legs?

I have felt all along that if we can't get Love, trading Rondo for McLemore and #8 would be a solid deal.  Then if we could really trade #6 and #8 to Cleveland for #1, and pick Parker, I would surely be OK with that.

Bold and risky, just the way Danny like it.

Rondo and #6 is too much for Parker, unless a bad contract goes as well?

If that happened... wow. Probably the only way I'd be able to react

If we're trading Rondo to the Kings what possible pieces could the Kings or us offer Cleveland for #1? I don't understand how this is possible

If we're trading Rondo, then we better not be giving up any additional assets - especially the #6. The Kings #8 would be a starting point, though.

Agreed.

True if Danny thinks Wiggins/Parker (whoever is the target) has all-star ceiling.  Not true if Danny thinks his target has top 5 NBA ceiling.   If the latter, then absolutely trade Rondo plus 6.

Parker has better college numbers than Pierce...Im not saying he will become Pierce but if Danny thinks he will I would pull the trigger on that

Parkers apparently already overweight and Wiggins is hit or miss. I'd be very nervous giving up Rondo and 6 for either

Wiggins has top-5 NBA ceiling, I just think it's unlikely for him to approach it. I don't think Parker has top-10 or 15 NBA ceiling to be honest.

I just hope Ainge isn't overvalueing the #1 pick. I'm not thrilled with either Parker or Wiggins, so if we took it I'd love to see us trade it. Ideally for Philly's pair of picks.
