At the moment, the most exciting scenario for me would be trading Rondo for #8 + McLemore... and then somehow managing to move #6 + #17 to get Embiid.

Second most exciting scenario:  Kevin Love.

Or have Embiid drop to the Celtics.  :)

The Pistons have ended trade talks that would have sent Josh Smith to Sacramento, according to Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.com.

That was fast
No more rondo to kings comments
I think there's a lot of tentative stuff that could happen on draft night depending on some key things...

1 - Where will Embiid fall?  That changes EVERYTHING

2 - Where does Love go.

When those two dominos fall... everything else will fall soon after.

I've said all along sac town should acquire smith to lead to rondo. If smith goes to the kings then I think that means rondo is going shortly after.

Why get Rondo when they have Thomas?   Many would consider Thomas a better PG  because he can shoot.

Nowhere near the passer/creator that Rondo is.

No where near the player at all.

For the same reason that some people don't see Avery Bradley as a starting SG: because he is undersized.  Sacramento has always seemed squeamish about having a starting point guard who is 5'9".  They've brought in Aaron Brooks and Grevis Vasquez the past two seasons but ended up getting rid of both guys.

Thomas is a self proclaimed "scoring point guard".With Smith on board, their better off with a passing floor general like Rondo. (which I would hate to give up) Cousins and Gay create their own offense ,  Smith at times need a facilitator. Now if they had someone to set them up like Rondo, That will bring their games to the next level. Lil Thomas does not help anyone get better.

If they create their own, then I am think they do not need Rondo.   Guys who can create their own offense do better with spacing ( good shooting) PGs.

I think it is wishful thinking by us fans.  I think Ainge would take Thomas over Rondo.

Or because he's just too limited to be a starting SG on a playoff caliber team. The size isn't the issue with Avery - he's got a great wingspan.

A sign-and-trade deal involving Josh Smith and Isaiah Thomas "may be in the works," according to Grantland.com.

Two point guard gunners on one team? Wow.

Im guessing Jennings would be gone or moved to SG or something... Always viewed him as more of a 2 anyway..

Mclemore and stauskas would not be enough, unless gay is involved

If not i would have to think the rondo to kings talks would end
