Eeesh. Better have Einstein at SG to balance out that lack of BBIQ in the front court.

I thought I'd read somewhere last night that the Kings have as many as three offers in hand for the #8 pick.

I'd be very surprised if the Smith deal isn't one of them. If not, they've got a bunch of avenues to explore.

C's

#8 pick
McLemore
Williams

Pistons

Landry
Thompson
Terry

Kings

Rondo
Smith

Perhaps a future 2nd rd pick or two goes to Detroit. Or maybe we'd have to take either Landry or Thompson, instead of Williams, in order for Detroit to receive another expiring deal.

Yup rondos going to sactown... :(
But tbh a lineup of Rondo, a SG, Gay, Smith, Cousins would be pretty epic
Rondos fondness of Gay and Smith as well as Cousins attitude would form great team chemostry!

So if those players get traded for Smith, what would the Celtics get for Rondo?

Rak

mclemore, #8 , filler(landry, outlaw)

Consider me unexcited about "filler" that has 3 years, $19.5 million left on his contract (Landry).

More likely McLemore, Outlaw, Evans, Acy (nonguaranteed) and Willie Reed (non-guaranteed).  That's a little shy of $8 million salary for 2014-2015, and nothing but McLemore after next year.

Oh, and the #8 pick, obviously.

Which makes me wonder what would be available via trade to us at #6? If Love doesn't work out, do we pull a Nets/Utah/D.Will type of move that no one saw coming?
2021 Houston Rockets
PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

that would be a [dang] good starting 5

all show, and probably won't be much of a threat to the spurs, or thunder...2nd round exit in my opinion
would be a tough team to beat when they are ON.....BUT need a heady SG with experience to settle and be the quiet leader that settles JSmooth and Cousins. These are 2 hot heads that can loose it quick if things don't bounce their way - especially in high tension games like the WCF or NBA Finals (not saying that they'll get there)

The question is...if we get #8...are we planning on drafting 6, 8 and 17....OR are we packaging 6+8 for 1 or 2, and grabbing Parker?
Id rather keep the picks
Smart+Gordon>Jabari
We could also prolly get Embiid woth #6

I do not want to trade rondo but if we did trade him for mclemore and 8th etc

I would try to flip the 8th for mcw and young

Isn't there rumors 7th pick for mcw and young

If so id do that

Mcw
Mclemore
Young
Sully
Ko

Def a young team. But i want to keep rondo but like i said if we did trade him, i would flip the 8th to go after mcw

I hope we could get a future first rounder from the Kings as well. Especially since we aren't shedding any of our extra contacts.

The problem is if we go this route, we have at least another year of tanking before we start to get incrementally better and probably 3 or 4 years until we see the playoffs again.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Have to get a sharpshooter at SG, but that has a ton of potential. I figure Rondo/Cousins would be a lot like Rondo/Shaq - dominant. And then Rondo & Smith would be pretty dynamic together - lots of KG-esque alley oops. I also think Gay would benefit from a PG like Rondo, I think he's become to reliant at having to create his own shot, getting someone to make his like easier would likely help his efficiency. They'd be a pretty intriguing club in the West - as long as Cousins continues to progress. Eventually the Spurs will start to fade - likely the Tim Duncan retires after next season. That lineup matches up well with the like of OKC and LAC.
so what you are saying is rondo makes his teammates better??
i'd hope we are keeping him to make our team better
