One potential scenario, I'm told, would send Smith to Kings for Jason Thompson and Derrick Williams. Jason Terry might be another option

I'm a little concerned at the rumors...if they are going after JSmoove, that means they must be pretty confident they can trade for Rondo, just not convinced they can keep Rondo.

Granted his contract blows but that wouldn't be a bad trade for SAC or DET.  DET gets from underneath that albatross contract and SAC wasn't going anywhere with Thompson/Williams. 

Change of scenery for both parties involved.  Not sure how much of a dent it would make in the standings, either way.

Have to get a sharpshooter at SG, but that has a ton of potential. I figure Rondo/Cousins would be a lot like Rondo/Shaq - dominant. And then Rondo & Smith would be pretty dynamic together - lots of KG-esque alley oops. I also think Gay would benefit from a PG like Rondo, I think he's become to reliant at having to create his own shot, getting someone to make his like easier would likely help his efficiency. They'd be a pretty intriguing club in the West - as long as Cousins continues to progress. Eventually the Spurs will start to fade - likely the Tim Duncan retires after next season. That lineup matches up well with the like of OKC and LAC.

You're not getting a top 2 pick with #6 and #8 - not in this draft at least. Now if we had #4 and #6, we may be able to get the tires spinning on the #2 but it's still far fetched.

I would trade # 6 and 17 and try to move up to # 4

8= Smart , Gordon, Randle or Vonleah
