KO and Sully should NOT go out together...one or the other, but not both.

You want GSW's deal Flip, have at it...we'll move on to Plan B.

I can't see Ainge trading Rondo at this point unless Rondo tells him flat out he won't resign.  I just don't think Ainge believes in the kind of total rebuild where he's left with no option but to wait for draft picks to develop and hope he can get a FA with his cap space.

I don't want KO to be the sacrificial lamb for love. the kid has shown flashes of brilliance last season. Mark my words, he will be a star for the Cs for seasons (i predict starting next season).

I'd rather offer them Jeff Green (Mr. Passive) along with some sort of combination.
Peavey Bass Player - relearning to play after 10 years sucks;

We aren't trading Kevin O'Conner at any price.

Come back when you're ready to have a serious negotiation, Canus Hoopus.

Good day, sir.

this trade offer seems grounded in reality.  I think that is a fair offer to Wolves. And we would still keep a lot of assets.

But as Rondo indicated, we would still need to do something else, whether it is Carmelo or another really good player.  Don't know how we would swing that.

Kevin Love would be gone in a year. California is the only place he truly wants to play. His whole family is from there, he went to college out there. Not to mention the lack of marketing dollars in Boston as well as the weather are big reasons not to come. Franchise truly hasn't been at its peak since Bird. Sure they went to the finals 2 out of 3 years with KG but that isn't a dynasty like the 80's Celtics. How do you get there? DRAFT PICKS!

Trading for Love and signing Melo are band aids and short cuts. Only a youth movement will lead the C's back to being that dominant dynasty. Right now in terms of prestige they are certainly behind the LA's and Miami's of the world. They would probably be behind the Texas teams because of the lack of state tax. This is why in free agency they cannot and will never compete.

If you're a 26 year old where would you like to spend your winters? Shoveling snow in Waltham or sitting on a beach in Key West or LA watching the parade of girls go by.

It's not rocket science on why FA's will never decide to come to Boston on their own.

Ainge isnt going to  shoot his full load yet....just wait for it well be in the drivers seat on the eve of draft night. You throw in a Brooklyn pick bet they take it.

pretty much how I feel. You throw in one brooklyn pick, or just switch our pick next year with a brookklyn pick and maybe it turns in their favor. Danny is just waiting to strike.

It all makes sense now.

If Boston is such a horrible place to play, what happens in 4-5 years when those "stud" rookies contracts are up? wont they just bolt like you think any other star would?

Not quite. You can sell people on staying if that's the only franchise they've known and they have been apart of a budding dynasty.

I think KO over Sullinger is probably a definite at this point, if you believe the rumor the T'Wolves were hoping to draft KO last year before the Celtics swooped in before them. Olynyk to Flip = Robert Swift to Ainge.

Better for the immediate mediocrity Flip seems to be gunning for, not for the long term future of the franchise.

Wow.  The opportunity cost is the 6, a couple of middling first rounders and Olynyk and/or Sullinger. Yeah, thats gonna bring a team out of the cellar.  Accept it, mediocrity or not, Harrison Barnes and Klay Thompson are both young, proven, and just plain better.

I agree, but I don't know why the Wolves would want to do a move that's mostly lateral. They probably won't make the Playoffs with that team and they'll be in a similar position before long.

Trading for Olynyk/Sully, 6, 17, and a future first may not be better than Lee, Barnes, and Klay on paper, but it would give them young players as well as open up cap space to allow them to pick up more expensive players in free agency down the road.  It's a true rebuild.

Barnes hasn't shown much so far in his career.  Trading Love for Barnes, Lee, and Klay will guarantee long term mediocrity.  But I would expect nothing less from such a dysfunctional franchise.

Cap space is useless for teams that players do not want to play for.

I would love to get Love, but I really hope we can get it done without including Kelly.  Give them Sully instead.
