@LarBrd33

There was a time last season when I really regretted asking you to join this league. But then I learned to ignore your PMs and it was all good. ;)

Lets move on now and not rehash stuff, especially PMs, from the past. The P in PM stands for 'private'. Lets keep it that way.

How do you know his name is Christian?
Same reason everyone knows my name is David.

Anyways.  Moving on... After solving my roster crunch (two pending trades), I don't have much incentive to make offers (I had 16 players and 7 draft picks... now I have 14 players and 3 draft picks).  As a sign of good faith, I'll banish myself from proposing trade offers to any of you guys for a week.

#26 is available to whoever offers me the highest 2016 draft pick.

Feel free to engage me in offers:

Your 2015-16 Bellevue Leprechauns:

1 - Andrew Wiggins
2 - Jabari Parker
3 - Joel Embiid
4 - Nerlens Noel
5 - Aaron Gordon
6 - Dante Exum
7 - Ben Mclemore
8 - Bismack Biyombo
9 - Otto Porter Jr
10 - Nik Stauskas
11 - Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
12 - Julius Randle
13 - Jrue Holiday
14 - Khris Middleton
15 - [Karl-Anthony Towns]
16 - [Okafor or Russell]

I have to admit, that is a team that is set to dominate for years to come. Well done.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
Alright, my two cents, and then I'm done:

1. I tried multiple times to tell LarBrd33 to offer me fair trades - no lowball offers - or not offer me anything. He continued to offer me trades that suggested that I had no idea what the value of my own players was while simultaneously ignoring my request that he stop contacting me. I blew up on him on the message board on Yahoo, but apologized afterwards because I was fairly insulting. I thought we had come to an agreement this spring, but apparently the misunderstanding continued into another frustrating discussion in the PMs here. I would be thrilled if we could just not speak entirely in the future, because that's probably the best way to avoid conflict from here on out. I did mention to him that I wasn't the only GM that was frustrated with his tactics.

2. By all means, please continue to bring up the one trade offer out of potentially hundreds that offered the then-#4 pick and 2 second rounders that I passed on. For someone who suggests now that Giannis will be a backup in this league, you certainly spent a long, long time trying to acquire him :). As I said before, I wouldn't take that deal then and I wouldn't take it now, so I am happy with how things turned out. Let's both move on.

3. You can set a rule that deletes a certain sender's PMs before they even reach your inbox. Roy showed me how to do it. If you have a problem with any of the members of the league, I suggest you look into it.

4. Yes, as dramatic as it sounds, I have had significantly less fun in this league lately than in year's past. Maybe I'm just getting old and bitter, but this seems much more like a chore than a fun waste of time.

5. I probably either signed my real name to a PM/trade rejection, or enterprising members of this forum just followed the link in my signature and figured it out. It's not especially hard to do. Although I prefer my alter ego as "guy in the fantasy league that only shows up to insult The Walker Wiggle."

6. I tried to set up a "no LarBrd33s" league in Yahoo, but precedent suggests that we're still allowed to have one, so that failed.

7. Feel free to offer me trades, but also take into account just how lazy I am in countering. If you shoot me a lowball offer and I have to actually think about how to improve it, there's like a 90% chance I'm just going to give up and tweet something about pro wrestling instead. I have the attention span of a kitten.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Champ, no problem.  There's only one guy on your entire team that makes sense on the Leprechauns and that's Giannis (I would have acquired Noah cheap to flip him if you were cashing in on what little remains of his career).   I have no idea how many offers I sent you via yahoo last year.  I had a hunch you were pretty checked-out on the league as a whole and probably barely ever checked your pending trade requests, but I figured I'd do my due dilligence.  A few of my offers timed out after several days of no response.  But I probably threw out a bunch of random stuff trying to engage you on Giannis and in retrospect you were probably just ignoring me.

There was a time last year where I was desperate to get under the 75 missed game rule.   Ultimately I probably would have given you multiple prospects in addition to my own draft pick (which ended up 2nd) in order to avoid the 75 missed game penalty (which doesn't carry over to the new team).    You never responded.   It probably worked out for me in the end, so I'm not sore about it (similar to my desperation offer to Rondo2287 to swap my draft pick + additional free picks for MMSB's 1st... turns out my pick ended up better than MMSB's pick).

Some of your points are valid.  I'm sorry you have such a negative impression of me.  I'm actually a pretty quiet nerdy fella in real life (and if you're the one who insulted my facebook profile on the flutter feed, you prob saw that).  I'll avoid sending you offers.  No hard feelings, man.  Good luck with your team.  Hopefully you can rediscover your joy in the fantasy bball league... you dropped from 3rd to 10th last year.  I imagine the fans in X-Tacle territory are a bit restless.

PS:  Giannis is a beast.  I was making a joke when I called him Jabari Parker's back-up (since Parker is on my team).  I wonder how much of your impression of me is rooted in my poor communication skills resulting in misunderstanding.   To be perfectly clear, Giannis obviously isn't Parker's back-up.... he's Middleton's back-up.

At this, there is no GM better. You are, indeed, the once and reigning Champ.

I assumed Flutter was completely fictional until today. I will be sure to go there and insult your facebook now. I assume your profile is nothing but pictures of cats?

Also, I set my lineup weekly (at least) and check trade offers 2-4 times per week, so I'll be around to examine trade offers all winter.

Could still end up like the early 00s Bulls.  I was pretty convinced that Eddie Curry, Tyson Chandler and Ty Thomas were going to be a formidable team.

But I set out to a build an ideal team of youth and I think on paper it looks interesting.  I spent so much time on this forum back in 2013-14 advocating a tank-job that I figured I would put my money where my mouth was.   Me and Sam Hinkie have our entire reputations riding on this strategy.

Sounds like he's still a ways away. I'll offer the right to swap 2016 2nd rounders, top 40 protected.

Hah it's good it wasn't microfracture. Back in my trade-offering days, I would have eventually tried getting parsons for a pick in the 5-10 range.  Good player with lots of years left.  I'd probably rather have parsons than whatever gamble is available with the pick.  Good luck eja.

I always wondered what a very young team would/could do

It goes to the Finals! Look at what Mk has done in the H2H league this past season.

Yeah..... just look:

COME IN SECOND TO ANTHONY MORROW'S TEAM!!!!!!

(sorry Mk... couldn't resist... We all know BFM shoulda been the return champ... but flags fly forever and all that...)

This is how I feel every time I see the name Anthony Morrow...
