What are we supposed to do
After all that we've been through
When everything that felt so right is wrong
Now that the Love is gone

The trade hasn't happened, let's not jump to conclusions.

Yes, but if it's true Thompson is included Minnesota will undoubtedly ask Ainge for a better counteroffer, at which point Ainge should collect his chips, walk away from the table and say, "too rich for my blood."

Again, the 13th pick is most likely the price of getting rid of Kevin Martin.
What's the price of taking on Lee's salary? Because his deal is as bad as Martins.

This. I'd actually say Martin's deal is a bit better because he's owed less overall money but his contract just goes a year longer.

PG: Kyrie Irving/Patty Mills/Jalen Brunson
SG: OG Anunoby/Norman Powell/Matisse Thybulle
SF: Gordon Hayward/Demar Derozan
PF: Giannis Antetokounmpo/Robert Covington
C: Kristaps Porzingis/Bobby Portis/James Wiseman

+10000

It's actually worse because Martin's deal is only worth half as much...

All these rumors are getting crazy.  Why would Minn give up their lottery pick in this draft to sweeten a deal for Kevin Love to GS?  The front office there may be bad, but they aren't insane.

I admit I like Klay as a developing player, but he isn't there yet.  He is also the recipient of a lot of really good looks at the basket because everyone is preoccupied trying to run Curry off the 3 point line.  Pairing Klay w/ Rubio isn't going to help Klay get more open looks.  He may very well regress from this year in that situation.

Klay Thompson.

I think it was the Spears tweet, but the deal seems to have two halves: Klay + Lee for Love, and then the 13th for Martin. Plus spare change, obviously. Lee's deal also ends a year earlier than Martin's does.

Calling it now.

If Kevin Love goes to GSW...6th seed at best, again. An injury is waiting to happen to either or both of their starting front court. They won't stand a chance against Houston/OKC in the first-round if they ever meet. And their new coach will get the thrashing.

Want to win now GSW? Sorry, but first-round exit coming up again!

DLee is already 31, and starting to trek down stat-wise...

I'm guessing that Minny would have 1..maybe 2 productive seasons out of him...

Minny would, I'm guessing, shoot for the 8th playoff spot in the West (provided that DAL or MEM) fall out of playoff contention.

Why would Minny want to deal with GSW? To potentially get into the playoffs (as an 8th seed) and get swept by OKC or spurs?

Wow.

And GSW is a very good team with Step Curry and Iggy...but they need a HEALTHY Bogut up front...

Bogut's GPs over the last few years, since 2008-09, read:

08-09: 33
09-10: 69
10-11: 65
11-12: 12
12-13: 32
13-14: 67

Last year Bogut got injured right before the playoffs, too...I love Bogut as a player, but why would KLove ("IF" he's traded to GSW "AND" chooses to stay there) take a chance with an aging and potentially injury-prone Front-Line?

Danny can provide a better team for KLove.

If Flip does this deal, I'm guessing he's fired after next season.

if they want to shedd cap just send martin to celtics we dont want the 13th pick and we have the TPE and expiring/non garunteed contracts.

Real talk, no snarkiness about Love: I also think you guys are underestimating how bad Kevin Martin's contract is relative to his production -- think about the 1st rounder as the cost of getting rid of him.

Thompson + Lee for Love is ok, if the Wolves are looking for players who can contribute to a possible 8th seed run tomorrow.

Pricing the cost of Getting rid of Martin in exchange as a first round pick is right up the Dubs alley -- remember, they bailed on Jefferson and Beidrins the same way.

That argument doesn't really hold much weight when you consider that the Warriors would also be dumping Lee on the Wolves.  It's just a swapping of bad contracts.

At any rate, the report's most likely untrue and I would bet anything that if a Warriors-Wolves deal does transpire, it'll be much more similar to what Thompson said on the radio: Lee, Thompson, Barnes/Green + 2015 1st.  No GM's incompetent enough to think "I probably need to include a first rounder in this deal when I'm trading away the absolute best player."

And I'd counter that the price of taking on Martin's contract is Kevin Love.

I think it's between Boston and Golden State. It's not over yet......

Its over man bc thompsons dad says so

So you trust Thompson's dad over Ford, Simmons and Woj?

Read your question x10.

Its his father vs some idiots like ford that make up rumors bc its their job. Or they get info so teams like wolves can play games

sooo Woj, Ford, simmons who its their job to report rumors(and reliable ones at that over the years) are idiots? because you dont like the rumors they report?

Well was ford, simmons rumors ended up being true?? They say the celts have the best offer when they dont. Wolves would of accepted the deal by now.

If its between  giving up an extra 1st danny prob done it by now.

These guys except for woj have rarely been accurate with their whispers. Either they make it up or are sukkers

Nothing's done yet. The Warriors just put out the offer.

Its done imo. Wolves would be foolish to not accept the offer

None of their fans on the realgm like the proposed offer.

YES!!!

Thank you Minnesota and Golden State for doing the right thing for the Celtics franchise. It might pain some posters here but the Celtics will be a great team in 3-4 years after they finally blow it up this offseason!

F that, I could be married with kids in 3-4 years time. I dont want to have my team dredge at the bottom of the nba for four years before we are competitive again.

Stein reported the proposed trade as Thompson, Lee, and a first for Love and Martin.  Either there are multiple scenarios being discussed or someone (likely Broussard) is misreporting the rumor.

Exactly.  This is why I don't think the GSW deal is as what is being reported.  Minny needs to hang on to their picks.  Even the front office from Minn can't be this dumb.
