Tim what about this stat you forgot to mention about
Rajon Rondo touches/game 93.1
Russell Westbrook touches/game 74.1
Tony Parker touches/game 76.0
What about it?
you know for this stat the higher the number the worse it is right??
That kind of blanket statement is totally incorrect.
edit: 3 seconds too slow.
explain. The way i see it is, the less touches you have the more of everything else you can do, the better and efficient you are.
Why is RW, TP, Dragic touches lower than?
That stat literally says nothing about what's happening on the floor other than how many times a player is given the basketball a game. There's nothing inherently better or worse about it.
requoting myself so it doesn't get buried:
-anyone who thinks that the Spurs have been playing the same style of basketball over the last 20 years hasn't been watching the Spurs.
-anyone who thinks that Rondo wouldn't fit in because of his lack of outside shot missed 2007, when Tony Parker won Finals MVP shooting less than one three pointer per 100 possessions, and less than half of one per 36. That's in the regular season, in the finals it skyrocketed all the way to... one three attempted per game. And he averaged 30% from beyond the arc.
And they won the championship anyway.
another thought: perhaps Rondo would be more willing to play off the ball if he had more teammates that weren't even fit to be mentioned alongside the bottom of the barrel?
