Host: Doesn't he have a right to be frustrated?

Saunders: No.

Host: You don't think so?

Saunders: Just like I told Garnett, he didn't have a right to be frustrated. Why does any player have a right to be frustrated You're either part of the problem or part of the solution.

Saunders: Should the team be frustrated? Yeah, the team can be frustrated. But I don't think any one individual should be frustrated.

Saunders: I tell a story. I tell a story about - we were in the locker room when KG was in like his third year in the league, and Sam Mitchell was sitting in the locker room. KG was in there, and we had lost a couple games, and we were all sitting there talking. KG started going, "Hey, you've got to start doing more." And he's talking to some of the bench guys. "You've got to start doing more." And Sam said, "Hey, hold it, hold it. Let me tell you something. You're making all the money. Hey, it's your responsibility. You make the money, you've got to live up to that." So, that was the mentality, and from that time, KG never ever from that point, he always took responsibility.

As if it wasn't already hard enough for Minnesota to get decent players to want to play there. This will totally drive them all away if Saunders keeps it up. What a dumb organization!

He might as well give him self the title of bus driver as well, because he straight pushed Love under it and rolled right over him...lol.

Yea, the way Flip is talking, you would imagine a Love trade is already wrapped up. I mean, just a week ago he was adamant that he expects Love to be in Minnesota next season, now he's throwing him under the bus.

It wasn't smart or necessary for him to also take a shot at the best player their franchise ever had, KG. A guy who cried on camera bout how badly he wanted to help the Twolves win, and who didn't want to be traded away.

... Which is why that poor sonofaEdited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. took responsibility and suffered through 12 seasons of garbage teammates in Minny and the very first time he was surrounded with competent help, he won a championship.

I almost feel sorry for that organization......ALMOST..LOL. That's not the best way to go about wooing your star player to stay.

100% correct.  At least Cleveland managed to put some decent talent around LeBron.  Love has seen his franchise make one awful move after another.

Flip Saunders falls victim to the Peter Principle.

Flip should just stand down.

He's making the situation worse in Minny.

The sad thing is that they held onto KG TOO LONG.. :(

By the time he got to BOS, he was already on the downslope of his career...but thank God he was still THAT GOOD to help anchor a Banner for us, even then.

I'm hoping that he and Minny just be CLASSY and send KLove to where they can get the most assets...the best deal.

Regardless of Flip's apparent spite for BOS (according to his recent "Tim Duncan-BOS" comments), he and Minny MUST recognize that BOS can offer a lot.

Flip should just be mature about this. He's acting like a jilted spouse.

That's why I'll always have much respect for KG - even though his comments to LeBron after we closed them out in 09-10 ended up helping to send him to CLE, he did the right thing.

I can't stand LeBron "Only" for Basketball reasons...but he made the right choice.

Flip should just stand down and let Love free.

Kevin Love has always, for better or worse, been very deflective of the blame for his team's shortcomings. Saunders is probably correct in his assessment.

The franchise hasn't done anything to make Love's derision incorrect, though.

Maybe he realizes that and is using the Carmelo Anthony trade as a template for playing hardball and holding out for everything the Celtics can offer.  Maybe Flip doesn't want to be like McHale asking for Rondo then accepting Telfair, but is going to accept nothing less than what he wants.

These comments from Flip only solidify Love being moved. No way these two spend the season together.

He might not be able to get exactly what he wants, but something close to it. He doesn't want to let Love go and get nothing in return.
