Ah, big save by Krul on the second strike.

Too much pressure for Costa Rica now.

Holland is going to take this.

No pressure for them now whatsoever.

Van Gaal is a legend. What a ballsy substitution. Love it.

You called it Who, that was an excellent substitution, really paid off.

Clock strike 12 on Costa Rica. Absolute great showing, just didnt have enough.

Well, so much for conventional wisdom.

You can't really ask for two better semi finals, though.

Brazil - Germany and Netherlands - Argentina
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

No Neymar and Thiago Silva? Im not liking Brazil's chances.

The other on the other hand, that would be a shootout.

No pitty for Silva, his foul was stupid. Sucks for Neymar, though, hope he gets well, soon.

Of course, as a Germany fan myself, this should play into our hands, so I can't be too upset.

Absolutely. I mean what was he really thinking there?

You know what's funny, since Neymar keeps diving, when he really got hurt, everyone thought he's still faking it. LOL. Talk about the boy who kept calling wolf.

But still, you want the best players going at it. Brazil losing two of their key guys will be no fun. Especially against this German squad who outside of the Ghana game, just looks so unbeatable.

What a game! I'm glad we won! Van Gaal is the man of the match!

Costa Rica played for penalty's all game long. And penalty's is what cost them the game. I love it!

(we should have won in regular time but off side killed a lot of changes)

A few pages ago Who was talking about how much less the ball is in play compared to top Euro leagues due to the weather conditions mainly. The players are getting tired easier plus they have 9-10 months of games behind them .....

And then you watch Robben.... Instead of getting tired he seems gain strength as time goes by !! After 100mins he is stil sprinting like the game has just started. They guy is a locomotive. And he has done that in every game ! Remember the last goal against Spain ?

James Rodriguez was amazing but imho Robben is the best player in the WC

  • Anything is possible!
I am so happy now, after 7 heartattacks a couple of poasts and bars The Netherlands is through to the final 4!
I have seen many many soccer games and tournaments but this Netherlands team is very likable. Quality wise its probably not our best team but they are on one page, they fight for each other, we really feel like one and that's what we feel now in the whole country.

Next to our 'big 3' Robben, Sneijder and van Persie, every match someone else is the hero. Blind vs Spain, Depay vs Australia, Fer vs Chili, Huntelaar vs Mexico and now Krul vs Costa Rica.
Robben has been the best player of the tournament in my opinion and Sneijder has played incredibly great last two games.

While had a bad feeling before the Mexico game, and a nervous feeling yesterday I somehow feel great for our match against Argentina. Come on, lets do this and make us celebrate a couple of more times!! ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!

Ooooooh boy..... Another beautiful World Cup day! As a Brazilian, i am a bit worried about this game but then again, this has been a special World Cup and maybe this team will turn up their play to a higher level without their 'craque' (star) and turn to something beautiful. I was talking to my dad and he was saying how good this German team is but you know what, at this stage of the game, all the teams are great. There are no easy wins.

We are just one step closer to perhaps a Brasil Argentina finals (and please, no joke about that matchup for 3rd place).
Baby Jesus!
