Do not like Huntelaar substitution. Too many forwards. Not enough creators. Not helping them get goal-scoring opportunities. Made them much more vulnerable at the back too. Costa Rica look the more likely team to score right now.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Got home just in time for that Sneijder strike to hit the bar.

Holy moly!

Incredible strike
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Love Van Gaal subbing his keeper for better penalty stopper in Tim Krul

Robben was fantastic over the last 40-45 minutes of the match. He is incredible. Just keeps getting stronger as the game continues. Other players tire, he takes advantage of them. Incredible fitness and maintains quickness throughout.

Sneijder has been terrific as well. So unlucky not to score.

I have fallen in love with this Costa Rica team. Great defensive squad, and a little bit lucky.

Let's continue this Cinderella story, please.

Netherlands switched to a 4-2-4, and Costa Rica started to attack.

No matter what, somebody in Costa Rica has to build a statue for Pinto, who has done an incredible job this WC.

Bad move, imo, Krul isn't warm. Normally a keeper needs a few shots to find his rythm.

Someone should build a statue of that man who saved (i think) Sneijder's strike with his body. If they win today, that was the key play. That was a goal if he didnt lay his body there.

Stat -- Krul has saved only 2 of last 20 penalties he has faced for Newcastle.

Am I the only one who thinks that Costa Rica is coming in very confident in this Penalty shootout?

5 excellent penalties out of 6 so far.
