If anybody tunes in let us know what Woj says about Love....
I'm in...will be tweeting about it if there's anything relevant. Chances are it'll be rehashed material, but we'll see.

Buzz around #NBA is #Kings leaders in Kevin Love sweepstakes when/if occur. Don't care about extension. Will trade anything but Cousins.

What is Sacramento going to offer? We have a higher pick this year, and more picks in the future. If they think the same package they offered Rondo will get it done, we can surely beat it.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

Wow

And who would they have to offer? Derrick Williams? Isiah Thomas?

The Cs have the far superior offer than the Kings IMHO

Yeah, unless the Wolves really love McLemore, I don't see the appeal of Sacramento as a trading partner.  We can offer a better pick this year, more picks going forward, and more cap relief.

But, Amico isn't particularly reliable, so I'm not worried about the report.

What do they have aside from Cousins that's overly valuable?

I don't see a package they can put together that we can't beat.

Per Murph at the Boston Herald

Quote
Flip Saunders has stated publicly that Kevin Love is not for sale, and the Minnesota Timberwolves general manager intends to have the meandering star on his roster next season.

Though suitors like the Celtics are nevertheless preparing to make pre-draft offers for Love, Saunders private actions are only now starting to separate from his public comments, and, according to a league source, the GM has slowly opened the window to start taking offers.

The Celtics, as of yesterday, had yet to make an offer, though they are prepared to do so in a package that will almost surely include the No. 6 pick in the June 26 NBA draft.

The source added that Cs president of basketball operations Danny Ainge and his staff are at least momentarily focused on investigating players who will be available at No. 6, with a series of high-profiled workouts scheduled for next Thursday and Friday.

Ainge reportedly also has contacted two unspecified teams in the five slots above his pick about trading up for the most intriguing prospects in the draft. He has also taken a marginal number of calls from teams interested in the sixth pick.

General managers are also attempting to interpret the point of Love's visit to Boston last weekend, which included a Red Sox game. The Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers are all interested.

"All I know is that Jeff Schwartz is a Red Sox fan," the source said of Love's agent.

I get the feeling that Minnesota wants some actual players and not just picks as part of the deal (which is why I posted a trade idea to get Josh Smith and Aaron Afflalo to the TWoves as part of a Love deal).  I can see a team believing that McLemore has more star potential than Sullinger or Olynyk.

I can see Minny asking for multiple firsts, a legitimate NBA starter, and a young player with upside and caring more about maximizing the value of the players rather than the picks.

There is more risk in trading assets for a player with an expiring contract than there is in trying for him as a FA.

There is also a lot of risk in giving up too many assets for a scorer. Look at NY.

Still, I would find the move entertaining. I would love to see us get Love and then bring back Pierce at a discount.

The loser in that scenario is KG, who ends up alone in Brooklyn.

Or if KG elects to retire now, which he should IMO. If he keeps playing at his age and condition...he'll probably turn into a washed-up Allen Iverson or Steve Nash...
