The only weakness in his game is a streaky 3 point shot.

Huh.  If that's the case, I'm surprised he's not being considered at #1.  A 20 year old with only one minor weakness in his game, and a whole host of strengths?  He sounds like the next superstar.
Didn't you see? He's dominating the Allan Ray types out there, so he couldn't possibly have any flaws, could he?  ;D
You understand that Allan Ray would look like a star if he were playing college basketball right now, right? I don't get how people can't comprehend that Saric is playing with MATURE MEN...not TEENAGERS and YOUNG MEN. The Adriatic League is far more talented than the NCAA and those jokes are just a waste of breath.

CAPITAL. LETTERS.

Is there a point to your response?

Is there some rule Kevin has broken for using caps for emphasis on specific expressions in his comment?

NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.

Lightning, if that's your honest response, you're an idiot. That's the kindest way I can put it.

Is there a point to your question?

Putting SOMETHING in CAPS doesn't MAKE it MORE  TRUE.

Yeah... no, it isn't.

Would it be any different if I bolded, underlined, italicized, or colored the text instead of capitalized it? No, it wouldn't.

But Saric's father is an over-controlling head case, and this "I'll only come over if Boston or LA drafts me" business has the father's fingerprints all over it.

I think that's overstated. I think his father simply believes there's no substitute for playing games in the development of a young player, which is a widely accepted fact here in Europe. Considering his father was a professional player, too, who played with the likes of Kukoc and Radja, I'd say it's understandable he wants his son to benefit from his experience.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

"Keyboard Rambo". Look who's talking.

I'm from there. I've seen enough regional European league basketball to know this isn't true. The world is full of GROWN MEN who are not good enough to play in the NCAA, you know. Some of them are pro players in Europe.

His father is as biased against the NBA as so many of our fellow commenters here are biased against European  players and leagues. Putting it out there that Saric will only come over to play in Boston or LA just hurts his stock and raises red flags. It's not like Saric couldn't develop and be a major contributor for Philly or Orlando or Phoenix etc.

Saric is good enough to earn significant minutes on most any NBA team, and I'm not sure his father realizes that, or realizes Saric is beyond ready to make the next step and face the next challenge.

Hopefully we can all admit that we tend to place a higher value on players we have seen play repeatedly, against other players we are familiar with.

It's called bias, and everybody has it.

You don't want to develop reverse bias and go the other way either, but let's admit our nativist biases, hit the film room a little harder, and accept that Danny and his staff of professionals are going to have a lot more information on all these guys than we are.

Well, I'd say there's good reason to be biased against the likes of Philly, Milwaukee or Minnesota. None of these organizations comes close to the inherent stability of the Celtics or Lakers. A GM of those organizations could tell you how much his staff likes your son and promise you to build him up, only to be fired in 6 months, and suddenly you have to deal with different individuals with different ideas.

If he's biased against the NBA, he's apparently not biased against the Celtics, which is a plus in my book.  ;)

I wonder if Charlotte is interested in #6? Seems to me that if Danny wants Saric the perfect scenario is swap 6 for 9 and 24, draft Dario then either have extra pick or package with 17 to move up for a guy like Stauskas.
