Top fifteen is probably a stretch, unless you're limiting it to just bigs.
Seriously?
Maybe a little hyperbolic. Kevin Love is the empty calories of the NBA. He's a tremendous outlet passer, has great range(he's basically the uber-stretch 4), takes full advantage of his teammates inability to rebound in the slightest, has exactly zero leadership skills, refuses to take accountability for anything to do with losing, and is the furthest thing from a go-to scorer as soon as it gets competitive (as evidenced by their utterly abysmal record at closing games out). That's pretty much all he brings to the table.
I firmly believe that Kevin Love couldn't be the best player on a championship contender, and that he's a much closer comparison to someone like Chris Bosh than prime Kevin Garnett.
Green = Agree
Red = Disagree
Blue = Indifferent
1) Yes - he is a prototype stretch-4.
2) Yeah he has a dominant rebounding rate on his team, but is it possible that his dominant rebounding/outlet passing ability allow his teammates to leak out knowing that he can clean the glass and find them down the court? I would think so. He also plays with Pekovic (10 RPG) and Dieng (who came on strong in April).
3) This is purely subjective. No one likes losing.
4) I think you're definition of a go-to scorer is a wing player that can create his own shot. No - love isn't that and he can't create his own shot like Durant can, but he is a pretty prolific scorer in his own right.
5) Maybe true - but more talent is what the Celtics need. If we flounder away another season, I can assure you Rondo (our next most talented player) will be thinking twice about his desire to stay here.
6) No doubt Love and Garnett are different players.
