I can't believe Danny Ainge didn't get fired after we got the 5th overall pick in 2007. That should've been a clear indicator that the man didn't know what he was doing. This just cements that.
Oh, SURE, he made some nice trades and brought pride and a championship to Boston for the first time in 20 years. and SURE, he pulled off probably the best trade of the season by moving a clearly cooked Kevin Garnett and a declining Paul Pierce for a trove of valuable future assets. But he tried to tank and got the 6th overall pick. What's he going to do with that?
When has he ever, EVER, shown the ability to defy the odds and assemble a contender using a 6th pick as a catalyst? When has he ever been able to anything with a 6th pick?
If it was a 5th pick, MAYBE, but a 6th pick? No freakin way. Look up amateur in the dictionary. You'll find a picture of someone better at their job than Danny Ainge.
