"I sorta like Marcus Smart. I like his fire," Ainge said while appearing on ESPN's combine broadcast during the second day of on-court activities from Quest Multisport in Chicago. "I don?t know all the details of that, haven't researched that yet, but we will look into that. But [it won't affect his draft stock] much. I think he?s a great kid, a great player and I think he?ll have a bright future."

Guess we know who DA likes at 6

I could get on board with Marcus Smart there.  Would be an interesting look next to Rondo, and could be a real emotional leader and crunch time focal point for the team if Rondo ends up getting traded.

Yeah I wouldn't complain, I think he has the tools to be really good.

Gordon or Saric.  Sure wish we could figure out how to get both of 'em.

I hope Randle makes his way to 6. I think he is 18/10 for the next decade.

Saric or Smart. Both are "winners" that could be plugged in and given real minutes from day 1. Each would work well in Stevens's motion, 2 point offense (Smart as a 2nd PG and Saric as a point forward). Both have enormous, all-star upside. Both have high BB IQ and a strong desire to win. Both can contribute to team defense, though Smart has higher upside as a defender. Saric has higher upside as a scorer and rebounder. Saric's performance in the Adriatic final 4 was ridiculous.

I don't think #6 is any worse than #5 in this draft, especially since Randle is very likely to go top 5 and the Celtics were unlikely to take him.

I would like Kevin Love at six.

I vote Doug McDermott.

He's going under the radar.  Best player in college basketball, extremely high IQ, awesome offensively, which we desperately need and a leader.

I think he is one of the safest picks in this draft and will be an all star first.

Aaron Gordon.
Seems like a nice kid. Tons of potential.
He would bring excitement and high flying dunks to Boston that's for sure.

But if we can somehow turn that pick into something better, I'm all for it

Worst case we draft Vonleh, Smart, or Randle/Gordon and see if they have trade value, or develop them and see where that they end up in their rookie season to evaluate further moves.

If Smart became a mix of slower but stronger Harden/Wade with slightly weaker 3 pt shooting, where would you rank him?

Probably top 3. Wade in his prime was a legit MVP

I'll take Aaron Gordon with #6 & TJ Warren with #17 then trade Jeff Green, Humph, Anthony, Bogans & two first rounder for Melo & sign Monroe.
