Tough to send Mo away without knowing how much Minny's gonna use him as their backup combo guard, but I think Hump stands to benefit a lot when Nene inevitably gets hurt.

As a former owner of Mo Williams, I believe it's decent return for him. Three-four seasons ago, I couldn't even get a future second rounder for him.

Hump should have steady production for the Wiz. Unlike their reserve big men from the past few seasons, Booker & Seraphin, Hump is not injury prone. If Nene times his injury with the playoffs, you will have a productive starter/difference maker.

As far as Mo goes, I am not getting good feeling about Rubio out of Minnesota. Part of it is hit poor shooting. Part of it is that Flip is trying to cleans the franchise from everything KAHN!!!!!!!!! I would not be surprised if Ricky is traded and Mo/Zach end up sharing the PG duties.

Yeah it's hard to get fair value because a lot of people seem to hate Mo Williams.  JR Smith has similar problems despite being a lot more productive than Mo's been for a while.  Makes em easy to get but hard to move.

My worst-case scenario is what you're describing - Rubio gets hurt or shipped out and Mo takes over as a stopgap starter for the rest of the year.  Hope it doesn't happen.

In the end that trade's wound up being P-Bev+Danny Green (and Chris Johnson) for Draymond Green, Tyler Zeller, Humphries, and Shabazz Napier.   Time will tell how it pays off but I'm ok with the return, especially if Draymond steps up the way I hope.

Gainesville Celtics trade CJ Miles

Designated Drinkers trade Andray Blatche, DD 2015 #1 pick

Shrewd trade by the commish. Cashing in on CJ's one-year prime-time role. I am not too sure what to make of Blatche. It worries me that he couldn't get a contract this off season after he was pretty productive last year. However, anything that GC gets from Blatch is gravy, netting a 2015 #1 for CJ is pretty solid.

The champs purchase CJ's 1-year bump. Overspend? Maybe, but with a loaded roster, it's not like he needs to fret about minor overpays. Plus, if CJ can break into the top 50/60 Y! rankings this season, it's well worth it.

Yeah it was a tough trade for me to make -- b/c I loved Green and O'Quinn as wavier wire finds -- but i think it was win-win for both of us.

I'd argue those 3 guys Green, OQ and Mo helped give you a legit shot a the title.

PBev was the centerpiece of the deal that netted me Ty Lawson.

You traded two starters for 4 backups, although both starters are on the lower end. A lot of pundits are predicting a breakout year for Draymond. It looks like you will end up ahead b/c Hump & Zeller will both get run. I am not sure about Shabazz though.

I'd said this to GC during our talks....I think my exact words were "I know I'm over-paying for a one year rental that has a 50-50 chance to pan out".

Took a risk. Especially because I suck at drafts.

Sure - I wasn't talking about who won it, especially since a lot of those pieces came from followup deals.  Just discussing the outcome for my team.  Danny Green and P-Bev (and CJ, but who cares) were both waiver pickups too, so that deal was a waiver-wire All-Star swap for the ages.

I think the CJ Miles deal was really good value, BTW.  Though it might hurt your team a bit this year (unless Blatche gets flipped), it'll put you in a stronger position for next season.

If i was 1 year closer to contending I wouldn't have done this deal.

I think the other contenders this year are gonna wish they'd traded a #1 for Miles -- who I think is going to come the closest to replicating also-former-GC'er Gerald Green's production from last year (2 triples, 12-14 ppg, 3 reb, 2 ast, 1 stl).

That boost in production over their 15/16th guy might have been enough to knock off DesDr... who won the title last year by 1 TO....4 points...3 FGM.... and a few rebounds.

----

Oddly, Miles was one of only 3 remaining players from the team I inherited in the summer of 2008, alongside Westbrook and Big Al Jefferson.

Thanks for your years of service CJ!!

Slacking, I know.

Btw, D-Mo 18 points last night!!!

One other things about ur trade is that Blatch takes up a roster spot. All of your moves up until this point set u up for a playoff push. This one hurts that.

I foresee about 8 teams with legit shots at the 5-8 seeds. Rotating a dead spot on ur roster until the end of March will cost you some categories along the way. It may be the different in making the playoffs or at least seeding.

J/K.... You're right, but I'm still working on some things.

I may be tipping my hand here a little, but Blatche is VERY available to a good home.
