how is Tim Duncan still playing at such a high level and KG has totally deteriorated?

Garnett had to play huge minutes most of his career. Duncan hasn't played over 35 minutes per game since 2004. Also Garnett's game early on was based off his athleticism, while Tim Duncan's footwork has allowed him to maintain his game so well.

Duncan relies on his fundamentals while KG relies on his athleticism.
