It's kind of like the guys who downplay Bill Russel's accomplishments--because of the era he played in---and yet they drool all over Oscar Robertson.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Classic!

Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I sure hope Tony Parker does NOT pull his hamstring again this year---just before the Finals....Miami is so lucky.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

But wait!  ESPN can't end the night with LeBron just being the best SF of all time!  Sportscenter has to suggest he passed Jordan in this game.

They actually said that?

They said people usually put LeBron on a list below Jordan BUT in this game he surpassed Jordan in 25-5-5 games!!! or something like that.

This kind of Larry Bird's fault though---if he hadn't messed with the chemistry of his team at the trade deadline.

Watching the Heat get escorted through the playoffs by the refs every year is starting to get old

Regarding LeBron...I will go to my grave believing he took HGH/Steroids or something while he was in high school...Nobody comes into the league at 18---looking like a 28 year old.

He is NOT more talented than Bird was...just has a better body by far.

High school, last week, etc.

I'm not just hating on the guy, if he didn't have extra help then neither did Greg Oden.

I'm not hating either...LeBron is an awesome player---but this Media--is ready to kick any retired player to the curb--when a new guy has success----ESPECIALLY a Celtic. There is a lot of suppressed loathing of the C's---because of the amount of white guys they had in the 80's....Nobody remembers the 60's---when the Celtics were the team that Lead the way in Racial Barrier-Breaking.

SPURS had them beat last year!!!! It was just not meant to be. It does not get any closer than that. Well except you are Atletico Madrid and you cant hold on for just 2 minutes in the UEFA Cup final.

Oops I meant to say "Only the Celtics came close to beating this Heat team in the East" hehe  ;D

I mean obviously Tim Duncan would be working on his 6th ring right now surpassing Kobe, which is bitter for LA and Kobe fans and great for me as a Celtics fan!!  :)

Stop acting like our Celtics are victims. They named the Finals MVP trophy after our Bill Russell for pete's sake! A lot of media members have put Bird in their Mount Rushmores as well. The praise that our 08-12 Celtics gets especially when talking about Defense and Chemistry is up there too. The Cs are no victims. Praising Lebron over Bird doesn't mean everyone now hates the Celtics, stop it.  Even Lebron respects and praises the Celtics a lot.

The Celtics are WINNERS. Us fans should act like it too. Let's not be like Pacer or Knick fans who whine every time other teams win. Sure Lebron can get a 3-peat and all that, so what? We expect that our TEAM will be back soon. Hating on other teams doesn't do any good for the Celtics especially this year when our team didn't even play the Heat in the playoffs. We will WIN again and we will continue to be the franchise with most championships. We shouldn't act like LOSERS.
